A lady, whom I met the other day, comes walking in about a minute later and also is looking at cards. There's the usual polite conversation. Now, what, in addition to that, would she do that shows me or gives me a clue to come to the conclusion that she's into me? In other words, what should i see before i ask if she wants to go out? | |

lots of smiling and steady eye contact.
sometimes giggly and laughing at innocuous jokes. etc

She will smile more and may be a little more animated.
She will be a bit in your personal space if you are sitting close enough to promote it.
Not shying away if you happen to brush against her arm etc.

What ever happend to a little playful flirty conversation? Start small, see if she plays along. Follow her lead, if the flirting escalates then its a sign she might be interested in you. But if the flirting peaks at a certain level she likely just enjoys flirting, and doesn't want to lead you on. | |

Posted: 7/25/2009 5:01:33 PM | In the situation you mention, if you end up chatting with her about the cards, say, then she would be friendly. If she smiled too, this is a good sign but not enough on its own. Most decent people are friendly in that sort of situation and it's a brief social convention. If she was interested, she might continue to glance at you after she'd got the card. She would be open to chatting more, rather than leaving quickly. She might look back into the shop towards you as she leaves. Generally, she would not be in a rush to leave. I think there would be a hint of something above and beyond brief normal conventions.
It's difficult though. Being friendly, smiling and spending time with someone does not mean a woman wants a romantic relationship. I suppose if she is happy with you getting closer, doesn't mind being touched accidentally, even reciprocates and finds your presence fun and interesting, then they are good signs. But, if she maintains a distance, stops smiling if you get closer or looks tense and uncomfortable, then it's definitely time to back off. | |

well when im interested in someone i say hey to them and give them longer eye contact then needed, compliment them on something new, laugh at em when they know theyve done something stupid....and angrily pay for a meal when they dont offer (sarcasm) dont have all the answers but hope i helped someone out :) | |
