I love the way kid1 is babysitting/mentoring a neighborhood kid two days a week, and that he was happy to do it for no charge (I'm paying him anyway).

Posted: 7/25/2009 7:47:36 PM | I love way my children, when they have been away from me (at daycare or their Dad's), will both come hurtling towards me calling out "Mummy, Mummy!!", wrap themselves around my legs and reach up their arms for a cuddle.

Posted: 7/25/2009 10:37:04 PM | I love the way my fifteen year old son still will hug me in public and will tell me that he loves me...unprompted. I love the way my son is in every way.....I am so proud of the man he is growing into.
I love the way my daughter runs and jumps into my arms, hugs me, tells me she missed me and loves me when I pick her up after her week with her father. I love the way my daughter stands up for herself.
I could go on and on and on because I love so much about what my children do..... | |

I love the way that all three of my children are stubborn, infuriating and challenging because they are not automatons and can make decisions that are right for them without believing that those who make different choices are better or worse for them.

She goes to the same daycare as her cousin does and he is in this pinching phase at 2yrs old (better than biting I suppose).
He is always made to apologize, but I guess I'm sorry wears thin after awhile because the last time her cousin pinched and said sorry yet again, her response was..."Sorry dosen't make it better or not hurt!"...LOL....How can you argue with that logic?!!
I wish I could freeze time and keep my lil one at 4 forever...she is so funny and animated about everything! I am enjoying every minute! | |

I am enjoying every minute! lizbeth2 if you are anything like me, then next year you'll think 5 is the best age, and the following year 6 will be, etc. as she grows up. Whenever people asked me about my favorite age for my boys, I have always honestly answered "this age!" Little humans are such amazing creatures, it's really a gift to be able to watch them grow and change, no matter their age. | |

I love the way my son starts the 'I LOVE YOU' competition before bed. He starts by saying "I love you this much" and spacing his hands apart, I counter with same statement back, and a bigger gap, and he increases his... etc.. until I tell him "you win". and I love the way he beams so brightly, that he won the 'love' game.... {I trust that only when he's older will he know I love him so much more than he ever knew}
I love the way he is itemising his dream fishing boat, when I mention winning the lootery(to have our dream home) in our special wishes... {so far it's a motor boat with fishing rods and a TV...  huh??} | |

I love the way my oldest child enjoys reading to the younger two, without being asked to read to them. I also love it when she cleans without being asked, now if only I could get her to take the trash out without being asked repeatedly.  I also love how much she enjoys interacting with her little brother and baby sister. She's the best big sister one could hope for.
I love my son's personality: he's energetic, charismatic, friendly, funny, and kind. I love the way he looks out for his baby sister and shares with her when I know he doesn't really want to, but he's doing it to be nice. I love it that he will sit in my lap and cuddle still (he's almost 6). I love his sense of adventure and apparent fearlessness (even though sometimes he scares the crap out of me!).
I love the way my youngest (16 months) is developing her personality and learning new things daily. And while she can be quite the stinker, it is fun to see her grow. I also love her willingness to try new foods, and the look on her face when she eats something sour (yesterday she tried lemon burst yogurt). I can't help but smile when she eats her favorite foods (one being watermelon) and says, "Num, num, num" as she eats it! | |
