mighty glasgow celtic

the result and the fact they are in the qualifiers make me think that the mighty should be removed or replaced by "once mighty", or "in scotland mighty"

the overall chump league??

hmmmm

think Liverpool and manure might be there again this year.

But dont right off Barca with Ibramihimovitch.

the guy will be a star there imo.

next year... real, when the latest round of galacticos have settled.

I cannot wait for the season to kick off. City are looking promising to get a top 4 finish with all the new signing.

Tevez, Gareth Barry, Santa Cruz, Adibyor, Kolo Torre. Think Mark Hughes has spent close to 100 million so far. The pressure must be on him to deliver the goods, or he will be out the door. My mate, a Red says he is going to put a bet on Hughes getting sacked by Christmas.

I used to think Hughes was outta his depth with access to all that money, but lets see how he does this season. Can't wait.

think this year it will be open and alot more defeats for the big 3, not sure if liverpool can get that close again, think we missed our chance last year. I couldnt see the point of swopping eto for ibrahimovich at barcelona.... know which one i would have had. Feel sorry for arsenal really, the club looks abit in turmoil.

the mighty glasgow celtic

'Mighty'???

What's so 'mighty' about a team that finished SECOND in the easiest league in the entire world?

The only thing 'shocking' about that result is that DM didn't put eight past them!

Anything could happen this year....

Arse are weakened from an already poor team...
Scousers have bought no one...
Chelski too old..
My team Man U...lost key players

Same top 4 in any order with Man City as the wild card.

Should be an interesting season

I can't wait until it starts, and for most of the scottish league teams the season has already started and what in a week most of the english leagues start apart from the prem and scottish prem..

I am going to watch the celtic game on TV next week - BBC2, Its a shame that the other 2 scottish teams which are in the Europa League, looks set to get knock out, nice win for fulham.

Oh god if man city aren't doing well, I hate to see who their will buy in the next transfer window.

PS to the person who said Liverpool haven't brought anybody is wrong, Liverpool have just brought Glen Johnson and other players have return back to the club

Oh deep joy, we're back in the season of our favourite TV programmes being rescheduled to accommodate the mighty football.

Just why can't these games (and the never ending discussions on the bl***y game) be transmitted on the sports channels and leave those who don't appreciate it to get on and enjoy their own lives?

I'm in no way suggesting that football shouldn't be screened, my gripe is purely with the assumption that everybody likes to watch it and so doesn't mind having their own routines altered considerably in order to accommodate it.

Am I alone in thinking this?

like i said would love to see man city win the league.......

as for the big two in scotland,if they had the same money that the teams down south get from tele, sponsors etc and if they ever join the english league,,,and that's a big if......i'd recon the big 4 would be running scared......

fair point, but at the mo, would be questionable whether they are good enough for the Premier league at all.

off to Munster vs HSC tomorrow, cant wait!

well rangers reached the uefa cup final last season n celtic reached the final as well a few year back so i reckon right now they'd finish somewhere mid table but will it ever happen, remains to be seen....

Does anyone realise that there are more teams than just the so called big bore (sorry four).
Burnley are back after a long absence as is Wolves and Brum. There should be some good derby matches in the midlands this year. Good luck to the Baggies hope you get promoted and lets have all four big midlands teams back where they belong.
I usually find that people that don't do football have very shallow lives.

I don't need to!

There are only two teams in the SPL who have a chance of winning it. Celtic are one of those teams - all they have to do is better one other team (Rangers) to win the SPL...

West Ham relegated?...You have as much hope of that happening
as Gordon Brown does of wining the next general election which is none!

May I take this moment to remind all yids that Spurs have failed to win
more points in The Premier League now than the mighty Hammers for 2 seasons.

As for Celtic I believe its 6 years now since they last won a European tie away from home?

being a brighton supporter the usual probbly just avoid relegation, get beaten in first round of fa cup to some poxy non league team, get beaten by swansea in first round of carling league cup.win a couple of games in the glam johnstone paint trophy before getting stuffed by orient or god forbid brentford.and we will still get wet when it rains!!
who will win?.who cares wont be us.i just hope pompey palace and southampton all go down..

honestly i think west ham or portsmouth could get relegated & may iremid all west ham fans that since there last trophy we have won 3 FA Cups & 2 League cups & UEFA Cup & we haven't been relegated & Forget last two years we gave West Ham a 8 game start & still ended above the spam.

Your right Hams was watching the game the other day and it has been six years, 22 games with 4 draws and 18 losses with the last win coming against MTK somebody or other from maybe Hungary?
I follow Celtic and they were abysmal the other night and have no chance of qualifying unless they buck the away trend and play much much better.

I do think though Hams your a bit too bullish on West Hams chances of avoiding relegation, I don't think it is likely and anywhere in around 10th is realistic but we all know what happened the last time West Ham where over confident with their talented squad.

Apart from the fact that we're (Pompey) selling all our players and we dont appear to be on the cusp of getting anyone good in, i'm looking forward to it.

2 weeks and my journey begins with Fulham

Scottish football? (hehehe)
