| MANHATTAN 8/1 EVENT A SUCCESS! THANKS TO ALL!

The Manhattan, NYC/USA POP BURGER LOUNGE EVENT HELD SAT AFTERNOON 8/1/2009 WAS DEEMED A 'SUCCESS'. Within about a week, I'll hopefully have the photos on a thread here.
THANK YOU ALL FOR ATTENDING!!! YOU MADE IT GREAT!! I was soooo happy to see so many people, laughing, smiling, chatting, enjoying food and drinks.
I enjoyed meeting you !!!!
I am working on the next one!! I'll post as soon as I have the info...I am trying to see about the possibilty of Sat Aug 29th, BUT IT IS NOT DEFINITE YET...IT'S A WORK IN PROGRESS, AND AT THE BEGINNING STAGE!
I CAN TELL YOU THAT AT THE NEXT EVENT, WE WILL HAVE A "DRAW YOUR FISH" CONTEST---Show how creative you can be---and there will be a (FREE!!) Prize...something very small, but fun and hopefully useful!!

Posted: 8/3/2009 12:32:21 AM | FYI---I am simultaneously working on events # 2 & #3. One is at POPBURGER's LOUNGE, the place where we had the Aug 1st event--the 1st Manhattan POF event that I had organized. Honestly, I really like this location for many reasons--one of which is that we really had the whole lounge all to ourselves!! And the air conditioning was great! Food & drinks very good too. This was a SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO EVENING EVENT. The 2nd time at POPBURGER would be the same --a Sat afternoon into evening, with people able to stay as long as they'd like, since the lounge is open to 4AM.
The 3rd event I'm working on for all of us would be in Manhattan, on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON INTO EVENING....FROM 4PM TO 9PM. It would be walking distance to subways and buses, not too far from Bloomingdale's to put it in perspective.
PLEASE GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK HERE---Would a Sunday AFTERNOON TO EVENING Manhattan event work for you? The place I'm talking to is a very cool, "hot spot" on Manhattan's east side. We'd have special drink prices, and I'm discussing FREE FOOD right now....nothing is definite yet. This would be for a Sunday in mid-Sept. ON SUNDAY, IT IS POSSIBLE TO FIND FREE PARKING ON THE STREET, IN MANHATTAN.
Please let me hear from you at this thread, ok?

Posted: 8/9/2009 7:12:27 AM | Having just discovered POF - then finding out that I just missed such an event - I can't wait for the next one - what you are talking about sound absolutely great and a lot of fun - just one word of advice - if the attendance is not so great - don't get discouraged - the last two weeks of the year are tough weeks because a lot of people go away - I tried to organize singles events in Westchester and I never got the same response in the second half of August as I did at other times.
Please let me know if I can help - I still have connections with singles groups in Westchester and Manhattan to get the word out!!

Thanks for your comments here! I appreciate them! And, I did know what you meant--the last 2 wks of summer....I think we'll be ok, but, we shall see.
So, please hold the date for Saturday afternoon, Aug 29th...I hope to be able to post the invite soon....it will be at POPBURGER again.

I can't wait to go to this one. We've had some great discussions about how we can throw a lot of fun into the mix and make this the best one yet. (you know if we do have a funniest first date story contest most likely I will win)..lol..
I'D LIKE TO SAY TO ALL, come out and join us. It's going to be a lot of fun. Reva is a friend of mine and really knows how to throw a party. Our friend Lory (Jasminne) will be with us as well (get the day off Lory)... Lory you know you have a fan club girl..lol..
Lets fill the guest list up and get this party started....
