These guys Im interested in give me their phone number and makes me thing that's good right? we'll text for a awhile and im ok with it I try to call them and talk some. they dont never call back or we'll try to make plans to meet and they don't follow through? I dont get it why even give me your phone number and dont call back? I never even get a chance...... How are you supposed to know someone if they dont even meet you. I am just what my profile says they seem interested but no follow through. This amkes me think a waste of time? What am I doin wrong?   | |

Skip the text and go with a call first. Sending a text first would make me think she has a low level of interest but wants a backup guy in case the better fish gets away. | |

And yes, some people are really bad about not checking their voicemail, they just ring back whomever called.  | |

What happened to "friends first" ? I though women in this day and age wanted to take it slow and be friends before trying to get all serious. I thought "friends first" was supposed to eliminate all the guesswork and heartbreak of being let down by some guy who you weren't even friends with.
Wait....these guys who don't call...they are not your friends yet, so you shouldn't care what they do!! Isn't that the reasoning behind "friends first"? Up until the moment you are friends, it really shouldn't matter how clownish the men behave, because they aren't your friends. | |

Woah, I feel like I'm on a cooking show...
But this is the dull part of the dating game... the first encounters. The online chats, with all of the potentially awkward and wonderful people.
I recently met a girl on here, and our correspondence has been mostly text based, but we've been keeping ourselves entertained to no end for weeks. Btw, she's also a mother, which I felt would be helpful to mention. =)
I know when I was looking, I'd like to wait it out after I talk to someone, if they feel compelled to hit me back up. It sure makes you feel appreciated as a man if you get a message back from a girl that's just asking to talk to you, 'cause you're cool.
That's a super awesome feeling every time!
Just talk a little bit with a whole bunch of people, and expect nothing to come of it. If you like them, persue it. If it takes too long for them to get back to you, forget it. It's a give and take thing. Don't be the only one giving or taking, see if one of the people you like will naturally give and expect the proper attention, care, and connection that you'd like. (And just for fun, tactfully avoid the topic of sex for several days, if you're looking for someone of quality. See what they've got to say to you without sex involved... unless a fling is more to your liking at the time. =P lol) | |

I do give them my number b4 and they call at the worse time. (Like when my son is screaming a fit) I like to talk when its quiet. | |
