And what about that Goldmind guy, I think he calls himself a mentalist. Doesn’t he somehow show us that some magic tricks as performed by Chris Angel and such hold some truth to them, if only just a little? | |

Therefore I think that down and down generations eventually we "might" be able to further tap into that region and use the such abilities you posted. I don't know who Goldmind is but the majority of Criss Angel's tricks ARE fake and just illusions, he's even proved it himself on Youtube, just search it up. | |

I always have a feeling when something bad is coming into my life.
The degree of feeling ( from a little to the very worse ) tells me
if the thing coming is small or the most terrible .
It also tells me just how close it will touch me.
Example if it will be me, my immediate family, or beyond
I truly think it is my guardian angel trying to prepare me . | |

Posted: 8/3/2009 2:18:05 PM | To the best of my knowledge, Chris Angel is staged. And yes, I do believe in having spiritual powers. My friend introduced me to the law of attraction, and it has changed my life.
To get a simple introduction, I would recommend watching the movie "The Secret," however in my spiritual work I have come to second guess some of the ideas proposed in the film. Such as monitoring your own thoughts from the beginning, and imagining your desires in the present. If you follow this, you'll drive yourself crazy and you'll be living in a fantasy. But once you've been the film, take a look at "What the Bleep Down the Rabbits Hole" and try to get your hands on some materials from Ester and Jerry Hicks.
Using the law of attraction, I have literally changed the way people see me, and I've become an overall more compassionate, healthy, and interesting person. Most importantly, I truly feel complete self love.

In reality the closest you can come to supernatural power is, and this has been proven and documented, that you can make it rain in the afternoon by washing your car in the morning. | |

materialism is spirituality to me, everything is measured by outer appearance and financial worth. | |

Posted: 8/9/2009 8:55:35 AM | I have had many occasions to belive that they exist, especially between individuals.
I have a neighbor we have been freinds for many years and on more than one occassion I have have been sitting comfortably on my sofa reading or watching a program, then suddenly get up and put on makeup and have him show up at my door just seconds after I have finished.
One time I had been sleeping and was having a dream where someone was on top of me, I could feel their breathing but could not see their face. I got up and was trying to calm down, I looked out the window and he was standing in the driveway between our houses. I went out and he said he had a disturbing dream, but would not tell me what it was. I told him mine and his eyes got very wide but would still not tell his dream.
He is a young pilot who had been preparing for an interview for a major airline, and had flown there for final testing. At 12:30 ,I started shaking and was hysterical, I told my daughter if he gets this job he will die . He flew home that night and told me he had completed most of the testing but had a panic attack at 12:30, during flight simulation. | |

Posted: 8/9/2009 9:07:01 AM | I don't believe there to be "outward" connections from the brain to anything else. When we talk about use of brain capacity, I still can come up with no justification for anything being other than internal.
Deja Vu for example is not a psychic phenomenon, it's a mind anomaly where as you are experiencing something the mind believes it has seen it before. Much like a brain freeze is not an actual pain but where nerves in the upper back of your mouth mistakes the cold for pain.
I do believe in recognized patterns in the subconscious that may give you a "feeling" when something isn't right with someone. You may have heard something going on in one's life, or noted a behavior, or they said something in a prior conversation, or they've not followed a recognized pattern that may provide a premonition.
BUT!!!! Stories like Shahof's above will always make you wonder of the things we don't understand. No pattern theory could explain that and too easy to say it's merely coincidence. | |

Posted: 8/9/2009 10:07:48 AM | I had nightmares about going to the Bahamas and meeting the man that was killing americans , feeding their dead bodies to the sharks.
I did something different in each nightmare but still ended up dead.
Then came the day I was told I Was going to the Bahamas.
At this time there was an announcement that another american had disappeared.
She was 23 yrs old and a coed in college ..
I went to the Bahamas and was sure to be where I had dreamed about...
I met that man and was told I would also be fed to the sharks.
My reaction to that was to turn my back on that man giving him ample time to kill me while I took another drink of my Bahama Momma mixed drink.
This shocked the man because I was fearless..
He started talking to me while his body guards kept everyone else out of the lounge.
After we talked several hours, he let me leave and stopped killing Americans.
This happened in 1991 ...
I have always had dreams that come true.

If you know something bad is going to happen then you proceed as if doom and gloom is inevitable ... this is an entirely different mindset if you knew something good was going to happen. I sometimes wonder if people should start focusing on control issues. I remember when Sylvia Brown was wrong ... the nation was shocked! I think they moved on to someone else because it was easier than to accept reality. | |

Psychics pray on peoples fears, religious leaders do the same. Magicians use all kinds of scams to convince us they have magical powers. criss angel all staged and fixed. copperfield using his super powers to get hot chicks to a private island to have sex??? peter popoff amazing powers...exposed as having a tiny earpiece hidden so he could get info and dupe desperate people...... Who said "sucker born every minute"? Even private people having a premonition are fooling themselves that a dream just happens to connect up with recent events.... all scams and flukes. Most want to find someone who can guide them or give them info to make profit or avoid trouble and there is always a person there to prey on that desire. | |

Like moving your hands in certain ways so as to put a certain number in the other persons head. Then the other person thinks they have chosen a certain number when, in reality, it was chosen for them.... That is where my mentioning the two came together... Great cons but not really cheating...
I have had premonitions in my life which where pretty precise although meaningless. I have had coincidences happen to me which where pretty freaky... And what about answering the phone before it rings and dialing the phone number of the person on the line just to find out that they are already there because they just called you. That used to happen all to me all the time when I was a kid and it was always with this same friend. I tend to believe that we had a bond of some kind. Then again, we may have just called each other so often that it was bound to happen. | |

Most experiments into ESP have provided negative or equivocal results. Therefore, the best you can say is "maybe or maybe not but probably not." Anything else is opinion based on personal bias. | |

Do I think spiritual powers exist? That is a sort of a loaded and open ended question. It is not at all specific, which is going to get you such a wide variety of answers that I do not see how it serves any purpose.
In this question you definitely need to define the word POWER for us. This word will be taken differently by all.
If you are only looking to understand some amazing tricks and see if they could be done by powers not common to the common man, then you are on the wrong track completely. Sort of like looking for the rabbit in the hat instead of watching the performer.
Your question and the later comment on magicians and performers do not relate at all to me.
I can guarantee you one thing. What one man has, every man has. No one on earth has a power, spiritual or otherwise, that you do not possess. There is nothing yuo and I or anyone else cannot do if we believe and practice. Mostly we must believe and for humans, that usally means study, of materials with integrity. It also often means stop limiting your beliefs.
There are many truths that most humans are just not open to, and have believed by the influence of others, since childhood, not to be truth. You most likely have never heard what comes close to truth.
Never forget, when the student is ready, the teacher will come.

Posted: 8/9/2009 2:41:00 PM | Oh yes ..I believe in guardian angels...ten years ago ( I remember it like it was yesterday) I was traveling east bound on a two way street..came up to the light..waiting for traffic to go through..the light turned yellow and as I proceded to make my left turn...MY WHEEL MOVED TURN SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT..ON IT'S OWN...I WONDERED.....WHAT THE...??? within two seconds a car flew through the light at a high rate of speed. I turned..and pulled off the side of the road and sobbed..I started shaking. I witnessed some power TURN THAT WHEEL..I didnt do it. I swear.
From then on..I count my blessings EVERY day. | |
