The Karaoke is from 8pm until 1am, and entry is free.
Check with the Blue Lagoon for availability of rooms, if required. There is plenty of free parking either on the seafront in front of the upstairs bar or down by the lagoon.
This popular event is open to the public, so it is an excellent opportunity to meet both with your friends on the site and with those who live locally.
We will be meeting in the upstairs bar from 8pm onwards, and everybody is welcome.
  
The event takes place on what should have been Freddie Mercury's 63rd Birthday, so those of a nervous disposition should be warned that some of his songs WILL be murdered on the night!

One or two of you claim to be unable to sign up for the event. Are you going through the correct procedure? Simply click on the thread (which you must have done if you are reading this!), scroll back up to the two buttons which appear just above the first line of pix, and click on the one that says "Sign up to this party".
One of two things will happen. If you have already signed in to the forums, this thread page will automatically 'refresh', and you'll be able to see your name and/or pic in the list of signees (in alphabetical order).
If you haven't signed in to the forums, you will see a 'sign in' page in which you are invited to type in your username and password, just like when you are opening your inbox. You will then be offered this page, so proceed as outlined above.
Any further problems, please send me an email, and we might just end up discussing it over the phone, if you wish.
It's good to see so many new faces, and I'm looking forward to singing at....I mean 'with'... you all!

I can fully understand people being nervous about attending such an event, but there are ways and means to alleviate any concerns.
They can contact me or anyone else on the sign-up list and arrange to meet outside the pub or elsewhere in the area. They are also free to bring along any guests, regardless of whether or not they are site members.
The event is open to the general public, so it's just like wandering in to a normal pub. No-one need feel awkward about walking in to a room full of people from a dating site, because this is not what the Blue Lagoon is about.
So, everybody, feel free to email other signees, and make new friends before you even get there!

We will even have a guest coming all the way from the Land of Song to show us all how karaoke should be done.....cheers for making the effort!
Apparently, the event clashes with something called a 'rugby union event' in London, but I can assure everyone that it will be shown live on the screens in the Sports Bar section of the Blue Lagoon.
