With 'athletic', i mean from a range of leanness (muscles, not big chested etc), physical strength/endurance, sporty attire, athletic pursuits, athletic time commitment, determined mentality etc to everything else you define within the continuum. | |

Posted: 8/8/2009 8:46:16 PM | I don't find athletic women attractive or intimidating or turn-offish to be honest I like a woman who is feminine and curvy more she can be thin or slightly over-weight I will prefer them to a athletic girl. Females with a little more weight hit puberty faster than athletic girls, girls in the Olympics are very fit but don't become a women and reach puberty until they are in their late teens and stop training because they need fat to be able to support the growing and nurturing of a baby. What attracts most men is the shape and curvature of a woman that allows child birth, where woman in the Miss Universe pageant have allot of muscles and no fat at all and look like men. In fact most athletic women have more miscarriages than obese women because the child does not have enough room and nuturients to grow without enough fat. There is nothing wrong with being fit and athletic just some men will prefer some fat over muscle tone is attractive to them genetically pleasing to the eye.
That's just the way it is in nature. | |

Posted: 8/8/2009 10:20:48 PM | Well... My lady has the best looking upper arms and body a man could dream of, and the rest of her matches the package. And, she remains feminine without the gym, supplements, or other obsessive issues.
Good genetics, good diet and a lifetime lifestyle have contributed to her good looks. Frankly, I couldn't describe anything sexier.
Butchy-looking hetero women with a steroid attitude are at the top of my turn-off list... Naturally good-looking women with a gentle, feminine countenance rule my world.

To place sole focus on a woman's body is to risk the possibility that a woman is, ah, "all show and no go!" A woman's values, dreams, aspirations, all figure into the equation of "finding the right one." Methinks that, by asking this question, you are narrowing the "fishing" experience to a quest to find a "trophy wife." Been there, done that.
This next time, it's all about finding a woman who looks well on the outside as on the inside, meaning that the physical characteristics of a woman are only a subset of what "chemistry" is all about. Yes, guys, in general, are graphic and respond to "hot" characteristics, but you'll be surprised at the broad spectrum of what, guys, in general, find to be "hot." Some of my buddies like "back;" some like "top;" some like the, ah, stems (long legs, babaaay). All of these characteristics can be compensated for by what's in a woman's heart, and mind, within reasonable limits. For example, men who prefer "thin" bodies might be thrilled by an "average" woman who intrigues them. But, in general, they will not settle for a woman who claims to be "a few pounds overweight" and then, at the first meeting, turns out to be 50 to 60 pounds overweight. Nor will they be thrilled by a "fuzzy" picture, that turns out, at meeting, to be a gross distortion of reality. Nor will they be thrilled by a picture taken 15 years earlier. It's all about truth in advertising,
I have seen pictures of "athletic women," for example, Russian female athletes full of steroids, with facial hair that would challenge the "Wolf-man," and a body that would challenge a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys. Alternatively, I have seen "athletic bodies" of women in track, tennis, etc. Athletic bodies run the gamut of women's bodies in general. | |

Posted: 8/8/2009 10:35:27 PM | Let me add that she has the demeanor, smarts, social acumen, personality.... To match her physique, yet she is temporately modest, even though she could be on the evening news.
I am the lucky recipient of a woman's affections who only live in most men's most luscious dreams. She chose me, and I know that I am an unquestionalbly lucky man. She could weigh 500lbs and look like a sick Roseanne Barr, and I would still be lucky. The icing on the cake is her outstanding physical characteristics, which only serve to make her so much hotter...
Bottom line, I am dealing with a woman who recognizes my attributes and faults alike, does it with fairness, objectivity and love, and who admires me reciprocally for things she finds viable and attractive in MY character.
I doubt that I could dream or pray for more...

Though Venus and Serena are muscular, both ladies are filled out. Very nice curves, butt, and the whole nine. I honestly think they have nice figures.
However being a woman myself, I'm not too keen on too much muscle. For example, I wouldn't dare want a body like Madonna's. Not only is her body too muscular, but she's also skinny, and her body is awfully masculine. But that's not to say that men won't appreciate it. | |

Runners like Paula Radcliffe maybe, triathletes, gymnasts, fitness instructors, ballet dancers, girls who go to the gym with the right attitude to get in shape and get fit (not posers). You know, within a continuum, not from one extreme end to the other. I think the William sisters are very sexy by the way, and I am a straight woman. I am also thinking that the list of women I mentioned above because they are highly athletic, they naturally dont have a lot of body fat, but they arent extremely muscular either, and they are beautiful and feminine still. Do their lack of body fat disinterest men even if they are firm and tone? And do their hectic commitment to their athletic pursuits (training, travelling, competitions etc) hinder the possibility of some men even wanting to date women (great women i have to add) like that? | |
