NBA 2009-2010 season

I am feeling this season the top teams in the league have secured their dominance I think it would be hard for anyone to argue against this but i think that the top 5 teams in the league are without a doubt the Las Angeleas Lakers, San Antonio Spurs, Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Boston Celtics

I think order wise i would have to say (even though i dislike them) that i think the lakers have the higher advantage followed by Boston and than the other 3 i think are a toss up. Personally I think that whoever wins next season will be from one of the 5 teams mentioned. Since no other teams in the West or East will be able to compete as well as the 5.

I think once again they're going to do everything they can to pair up a Lakers/Cavs finals. And just like this year, I hope it doesn't happen next year either.

I will say this, though. I'd rather see Lebron finally win a title than see Kobe win another one.

I would add Denver to that mix. Billups is a winner in anyone's book. He's also a real class act. He wore Elway's number last year as a tribute to him and this year he won't stating, "There is only one number seven in Denver."

For me Denver was the most exciting team to watch during last year's playoffs. The Lakers are a tough team and will probably go all the way to the Finals. If Boston is healthy, I think they'll win the Finals. I've never seen a team where the starting five have all been to the All-Star game. (I'm not positive Rondo has made it, but I know he will make it eventually)

Ya... I would add Denver as well... and I'm thinking Portland as well.

In the west I think it will be something like the Lakers, Spurs, TrailBlazers and Nuggets
In the east I think it will be Celtics, Magic and Cavs.... In this order... but who knows?

Cause I think Boston will be healthy unlike last year. And I don't think Shaq will help the Cavs enough.

I for one would like to see Lakers/Cavs in the finals.

I find it surprising that you dont think that Shaq will help them enough
many of the guys i have talked to have said the same thing and I dont get it....shaq qives them something that they didnt have last season and thats a low post presence

and the 2 new players that they got this year(i cant remember their names)

but I would definately give the Cavs spot 2 in the East

Shaq I think will be maybe 50 games for the cavs and they will really only need him for the playoffs anyway prepare to see alot of dump off passes by Labron inside for Shaq dunks

I also like Denver in the West. They pushed the Lakers last year in the playoffs, and they could be ready to take that next step. However, being a Cavs fan, I am hopeful the additions we made this year are enough to push us over the top. Of course Shaq was the biggest additon, but Jamario Moon and Anthony Parker provide good depth and length to help with mismatch problems. And if Leon Powe can come back from his knee injury, he should be ready to go by the All-Star break!

I agree about j moon for cleveland. his defense and rebounding should help against the boston and orlando forwards and he can play p pierce or v carter well. parker also very versatile could even take the point in a matchup against stronger pts like rose ir chauncy. not sure about powe , he works hard and can actually score inside but I think he might only be about 6 5, stlouispacer.

perkins has never been to an all star game either. And I wouldent be so sure (although I do not know for fact) that the Knicks of the 70's or the pistons of a few yrs ago didnt accomplish that. In fact I'm almost positve the starting 5 of Billups, Hamilton, Prince, Wallace, and Wallace did all make the all-star game at some point. And Yah as far as the Nuggets I agree they are a tough team but why is no one talking about the Hornets just you watch with a healthy West a motivated Chris Paul and A very good underapricated player in Okefor this team is going to make some noise this year. That said thier is no one thats beating the Lakers Kobe is taking down #5 and will retire with 6 rings just like MJ.

i dont really agree with the hornets idea...i dont see them being much of a competition in the west...i would agree the lakers kinda look unbeatable in the west...but i would watch out though if the spurs are healthy...they could give the Las Angelas a run for their money...

if anything i would think that kobey would want to out shine MJ...which i dont think will happen

Raise the Rim to a _Man_s height...[+3 feet is OK]
Most players can dunk, anyway

I'm rooting for Kobe as always, but Denver looks pretty mighty.
I'm also curious to see Griffin debut with the clippers, that guy was something in college.

I'm not going to forget pheonix in the west, there off to a good start. Theres something wrong with Tim Duncan right now, if he doesn't get healthy the spurs dont make the playoffs for the first time in timmy's career. Meanwhile Dwayne Wade and the Heat should have the best record of the florida teams at playoff time. As surprised as I am about this I think Turkoglu was the Glu holding the Magic together for their playoff run. How about the choke job by the Mavericks against the Hornets,to their defense dirk was fouled out, but missing three free throws in a row with 10 seconds left in the game and your up by three points DANG. I like CP3 and the hornets but they really should only have one win so far this season.
