| Powell River - McKinney's Pub Dance, October 10, 2009 Posted: 8/29/2009 10:10:27 AM | I would like nothing better than to go up (down?) there to visit my good buddy Balled Eagle in his native environment ha ha.
That frequent traveler pass from BC Ferries is sure looking good about now.
Seriously - I should post what I really really want on my profile - someone who works for an airline, a Ferry Corp (other than one in Indonesia), a Classic Car dealership (is there one?) that offers test drives (that would be a very bad business move ha ha), ok I'll stop here. Only buses and bicycles left anyhow.
How fun are Powell River partiers anyway?
EDIT: Oh and will anyone billet me?

| Powell River - McKinney's Pub Dance, October 10, 2009 Posted: 8/29/2009 11:13:20 AM | Hi Everyone
I am very excited to cohost this with Balled Eagle - (we danced our faces off a few weeks ago - at McKinny's and he sure can dance)
I have some sleeping accommodation available for out of towners so send me a message if you require it.
The band that will be playing HIGH STRUNG is excellent and they don't play very often and so alot of locals will come out to hear them as well.
I am planning to go the POF at the Yale next month and will be posting this event on my Facebook page as well.
Cheers Jo-Ann

How fun are Powell River partiers anyway? debra I think the best way to find out is join the party.
Oh and will anyone billet me? debra Who can resist the plight of a damsel in distress? Yes, I'll have room for two (or three if they like to cuddle), which includes using an air mattress in the living room.
Write to reserve a space in the Balled Eagle's "nest".

It looks like quite a few out of towners are coming again, hopefully lots of locals will sign up also. For anyone who hasn't been to a POF event, they are lots of fun!

| Powell River - McKinney's Pub Dance, October 10, 2009 Posted: 9/4/2009 8:45:08 PM | Anyone traveling here from the lower mainland or the Sechelt Peninsula should note the following.
As reported in The Peak newspaper, the BC Ferries schedule printed brochure in effect Sept. 8, 2009 to June 29, 2010 has the following error for the Saltery Bay - Earls Cove route.
The schedule neglects to state that the 5:35 am sailing form Saltery Bay and the 6:30 am sailing from Earl's Cove do not run on Sundays or on Christmas, Dec. 25.
I know that most people will access the BC Ferries website for the schedules and also are unlikely to trying to take those sailings early Sunday morning, but think it prudent to make you aware of this error in the brochure.
