| School under construction, would you send your child?
Posted: 8/18/2009 7:37:30 PM | | Our school is under major construction, I walked in to take my child to her class and found that there was dust an inch thick on floors, birds flying around in the school, the noise from the construction workers was horrible. The electric wires hanging from the open ceilings, not enough restrooms and their lunches had to be bused in from another school. The construction workers that yet to have a background check done on them walking around in hard hats amongst the kids and my list can go on. I understand that we needed a major change to be able to accommodate our growing area, but should the kids be subjected to this kind of hazard. Especially when you don't know who is working near your child. I thought about not sending her and of course it would be an unexcused absent, am I being overly protective? | |
