I wish there was a way to block a person from ever finding your profile. Maybe even going so far as blocking a person and anyone they contact on or favorite on POF. I see a person from my past that I'd rather didn't exist in POF land. I know you can block people from messaging you but that is not at all the same thing.

You can hide your profile by going to the "edit" profile page but then others won't be able to find you either unless it's through the forums or their favorite list.

hiding is good, infact i reccomend it. i did it and it gave me time to browse without interruption, then when making contact you can spend quality chat time to just one or two people rather than little bits of meaningless conversation.

I have a similar question. I don't want to hide my profile completely from everyone, i just want to hide it from the person i blocked, so they can't see me as online. When I block someone are they prevented from seeing my thumbnail at the top as online, in the same way as if you were to "hide"?
