We know that we don't have much rain in AZ. This year, the monsoon didn't come yet. Maybe we won't have the monsoon season this year. However, I grow many kinds of trees from seeds in my yard that is full of trees and other plants and roses. Did everyone ever have this kind of yard experience in AZ?

If you mean growing trees alone....no. Buy trees that have already started. In fact with most plants do that. Do have a friend that lives out in the middle of the dessert that has a wonderful garden. All her veggies are started from seed. She put in a drip system for watering.

By growing trees alone from seeds, these trees have deep roots and strong trunks and won't be easy to fall down under any thunderstorm condition.

Sure. I grew three honey mesquite trees from seed in North Phoenix. Cheap way to get new plants is from seed. For tough seeds like mesquite "scarify" them by nicking them with a file - like a horse or cow would with their teeth - before planting.

I even grew a pineapple by cutting off the top of a store bought pineapple and planting it against the south side of the house, in sand, where the refrigeration drip outlet was. Sort of duplicated Hawaii's climate. That pineapple grew its own pineapple. Was delicious and I planted the top of the second pineapple and it grew a third pineapple. Planted the top of that and it grew well but never produced its own pineapple.

Also grew a jojoba hedge from nursery starts. They grow fast and you can shape them just like a boxwood hedge.

I am growing some baby trees from seeds for my experiment. They are lovely, but I worry they may die in winter. However, my experiment will be good for me to plant tree seeds in spring.

Since I planted tree seeds in June, many of my baby trees grow up to my height. A few years later, my yard will be in woods...

Pretty soon here I'm gonna start growing some Oaks that I'll keep indoors by windows to help purify the air inside my home. I've collected acorns from Canada, Maine, Virginia, California, even one from Washington DC. It'll be interesting to see which ones grow, and which ones grow best in this environment.

To help them grow, I plan to mark on their pots North, East, South, and West so that the trees are always oriented the same way whenever I move them. I also plan on bringing them outside a few times a week to soak up the sun directly. It's going to be a fun experiment.
