| What's up with pictures of guys in cars?
Posted: 8/28/2009 4:02:06 PM | There is a strange phenomenon here on POF. I've noticed MANY guys with pictures of themselves that appear to have been taking while they are driving. Why is this? Do guys get bored while driving and decide to take pictures of themselves? Do all these guys have other people in the car taking their picture? Are they trying to show that they have a car? I don't understand. Does anyone have a theory about this?

Males and females are both guilty of taking pictures of themself while driving. My profile pic is of that because I saw someone else complain about it. It's something to do in between texting. | |

IMO the car has better lighting for plucking eye brows too.

OP I think alot of people put up what ever pictures they have whether it is the bathroom mirror, car, pets, kids, buddies, hunting, fishing, the list is endless. I have even seen a couple of passport pictures out here.
It really isn't strange I belong to another site, there is more over there than here. One thing I like about POF's pictures the headshots have to be a clear visible image of the user. | |

It's either take pictures of ourselves or dance and sing to the chagrin of our fellow motorists.

Yes. But only after we use the rear view mirror to put on our makeup on the way to work.
Do all these guys have other people in the car taking their picture?
Depends on the angle. Some guys do it themselves because in the car is the only time they have alone, so they aren't made fun of by friends, family, or coworkers. It's either in the car, or the bathroom stall somewhere. Car is more classy.
Does anyone have a theory about this?
They are actually glamor shots. That's one of the backgrounds available at the photo place in the mall. The only other free one is the moon, and the space suit makes them look fat. | |

1. Why do people take a picture with a cell phone at all?
2. Why do people post pictures of their mundane life on a social site like facebook?
3. why do people text instead of talking
4. why are people on internet sites and TYPING words instead of speaking them
5. Why do women have pictures with their, and OF their dogs?
6. Why on earth do people on the internet put ANY pictures up?
7. Why does ANYONE do anything that they do?
8. Why are you asking a bunch of strangers you have NOTHING in common with to explain a symptom of the times?
9. Do you care, or would you believe the truth about people's motivations for their internet behaviors, even if you saw/heard it first hand?

Oh.. guys like their cars.. they are as temperamental as a woman, only they can be fixed, AND shared with their guy friends without any complaints... in fact.. their guy friends will HELP them fix it, just so they can drive it. Pink slips SHOULD be marriage licenses. Guys can love MANY cars.. in fact.. park multiple cars alongside each other in the same garage, and the other cars dont complain. | |

Every photo will have some sort of prop that will accentuate that person or make them feel better about them self. Whether its a car or mirror, breasts, alcohol, other hot people you might know, complaining about it is more than hypocritical.

When you say, I took my car to the mechanic he leaves the room. To go work on his car, which you've been watching him do every second weekend for the last six months...
