| Separated and living alone...any chances here?
Posted: 9/3/2009 10:27:35 AM | Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and have searched the Massachusetts thread for a "Separated" thread and got zero hits. So here goes, during my short membership I have gotten exactly one response from a very polite lady who I reached out to. Essentially, my status is a deal-breaker. I've read the Australia forum, and others and there are very strong feelings on the topic. I didn't see input from Massachusetts so I thought I'd throw it out there; and yes the method to my madness is to maybe find someone in the forums who was in the same boat and can relate to my situation and lead to a friendship.

Posted: 9/17/2009 8:16:38 PM | I was separated for a year. I believe that no matter where you are, there *IS* a "separation stigma". I was able to find a few dates, many of whom were either separated or previously divorced. Perhaps you should focus on that group. They may be more sympathetic than those who have never been married.
All I can suggest is that you get through it as quickly as possible, so that you can move on. | |
