| Quintessentially Montreal Posted: 9/15/2009 2:19:42 PM | I will be in Montreal next month for 3.5 days. My plans include: Botanical Gardens for Lantern festival and Biodome; Old Montreal; St. Viateur bagels; Au Pied de Cochon; shopping on St. Catherine; the rapids boat ride on the river. What should I not miss that I haven't listed here? What should I not bother with that I have listed here? I want the 'true Montreal experience"! Please help me out. I will be there for Canadian Thanksgiving. Is it like Thanksgiving in the USA? Will everything be closed? If so, for how long? Thanks in advance for your advice | |

Arguably the most Montreal experience that there is. Here is the link http://www.schwartzsdeli.com/. Perhaps a serving of poutine might also be in order, the best place in Montreal for poutine is probably Patati Patata located at 4177 St. Laurent (at Rachel) . Enjoy..

The Pop festival is going on now, lots of great shows to see in a multitude of venues.
Museum of contemporary arts, Stewart museum of natural history.
The underground.
The village.
Enjoy our beautifull city, I sure do!
