Other girls on here have said the same, I was the only one brave enough to put up this thread, (yo girls) So tell us guys have u all been abused, cheated on, betrayed or abandoned? It really is mind boggling that so many have been. I know none of my many married female friends have ever cheated so wondering why so many guys on line have been cheated on . Can any one shed any light please?? | |

Its just a phenomenonal amount of men say all women cheat but I dont believe this and have personally never cheated on a man. They obviously thought the risk was worth it though and sacrificed the relationship for the affair. One man said it wasnt his fault his wife had an affair with her boss, I think he should have seen signs and also had to have facilitated this in some way. Keep the stories coming boys and it doesnt have to be personal. | |

Thing which annoyed me the most was that I hadn't been out of her sight all weekend, and yet somehow she still thought I was seeing someone else at the same time, and subsequently used this as an excuse not to trust me any more. | |

hmmmm, an awful lot of inadequate people in the world then by your measuring system.
I dont think men who have been cheated on are inadequate, however if a man starts telling me his tales of woe in early correspondance before we even meet, I tend to think, ok issues not delt, with and I loose interest immediatly. However if it happened ages ago, he recognises his part (infidelity is not the sin of one person, its a symptom that something is wrong with the relationship) and has learned from it it would not be an issue.
Jesus if we were all perfect and had this relationship thing sewn up non of us would be here we'd all be happily married, so I dont think anyone here has a right to judge others adequacy or lack of it. | |

I dont agree that cheating is a symptom of something wrong in a relationship rather it is a 'personality type' The relationship could be perfect and a cheater just wants the variety, sometimes its that simple. It does put me off a man when I hear he has been the one who was dumped or left I have to say. I would prefer a man who made the decision to leave the relationship if possible. | |

Relationships end for a myriad of reasons, not simply because one party is inadequate. You really are being very small minded about it. Imagine you meet a fantastic guy has everything you look for in a man, is crazy about you... then as you get to know him better he tells you about the time he got his heart broken years a ago, what do you do? walk away?? Posted: 10/1/2009 10:28:16 AM | I agree with scenic we have all been on the receiving end and on the giving end of dumping. I prided myself that I had never ever been dumped, as I was always the one that did the dumping, but now im not so sure.
I think sometimes a man engineers a sitation to make you dump him by cheating and then letting you find out so you are the one to push the button fair emough, but it was his choice to go elsewhere first!
I also do not think that anything lacking in a relationship causes cheating as has been said before they are a 'personality type'
Some will stick it out then end it and move on, and some will stay no matter what and you have to literally get a restraining order, and the the cheaters will just cheat no matter if things are good or bad! | |

Posted: 10/1/2009 6:20:20 PM | Abused, cheated on, dumped, or abandoned. Interesting question. Let's be honest; what else can a woman do to a guy after all of that except to have died on him? And doesn't it work both ways?
It's a reality that things happen, myself included. But life goes on, and you got to get the hell over things in due time.
My question would be to the person who initially posed the question. Is your 'bar' too high for some to jump over, sure haven't we all got a past?
A real man takes a certain pride in his woman, but is completely lost when the one he cared for so much, who he counted on, has taken the rug from under his feet. Women are fundamentally different, and have a different coping mechanism.
Show me one person, male or female who has not been abused, cheated, dumped or abandoned in some way by their partner; and you'll see a liar. For the person whose spouse/partner has passed on, you'll see a truly broken heart.
For the women who are frustrated by guys on here that seem to bear a grudge against a woman for the wrong doing in their life, hold on. If a man truly feels something, is he not human?
And for the guys out there who are holding onto their past, get a grip, move on, because you're missing out on some wonderful girls on here. And even though you say you're 'over her', women sense these things! Carp diem!

Its funny, I think 'online dating' is still viewed as a 'last resort' by most folks. And for folks who have had relationships turn sour its a good way to get back into the game. So it stands to reason that folks on here have had a few crappy experiences!
