I haven't noticed any event postings for Miami and from time to time I host big nightclub parties/special events (next one is on halloween), so it would be cool to start hosting some POF events in the 305 area! I have all the connections and contacts, just lacking the knowledge of how to post the events on here! lol. What is the most successful way to post? Through the event form or through the local forums? Help is greatly appreciated... Thank you in advance!!

Do you know if anyone hosts any POF parties in Miami? I have been trying to look around but everything seems to be further North. We can definitely start hosting some fun things further South for the people that don't live too close to West Palm and Broward!!  | |

Posted: 9/19/2009 11:46:21 AM | The only singles events in Miami that I get notified of are hosted by other organizations and not by POF members, at least I haven't noticed many events being posted in Miami, which IS odd, I think.
There is currently a STATEWIDE event being planned for Halloween night in Sarasota/Bradenton: http://forums.plentyoffish.com/datingPosts13057926.aspx
Since I live in Boca, if and when I attend events I usually stay closer to home, but there must be lots of people in South Broward and Dade that would appreciate events closer to them. Good luck! | |

Posted: 9/19/2009 5:59:45 PM | There have been a number of events hosted in Miami and the largest crowd was about 125 people dancing at the Bleu Moon.
We also had a number of Starbucks meet/greets but they only pulled about 35-50 people each.
If you compare those numbers with the parties up this way which attract 3 to 5 times those numbers you'll find you have your work cut out for you. Biggest thing is being consistent.
And Sun-e-d would be a great person to mentor you through the process!  | |

So far I haven't attended any parties... but if you want, maybe we can work together on hosting something in Miami...
I think if done right, it could attract a TON of people!!!

When you choose a venue, there are numerous things you have to take into consideration... If you need ANY help, contact me.... Also as a host, remove your mail settings, so everyone can contact you regarding the party.... If you want to discuss anything, email me & I will send you my number... I will message you as soon as the owners get back to me. I host annual Halloween parties in Miami and I already have this year's venue, I am just waiting for the final information regarding what my guests will receive and all that good stuff.
Luckily I have been extremely successful with all events I have hoested thus far, but I will def. be messaging you as soon as I hear from them so you can give me some tips on how to bring in the biggest crowd from the site.

Posted: 9/22/2009 12:32:27 PM | It's GREAT to see another enthusiastic POF host!!! Sun-e-d (Dale) would be a PERFECT 'mentor' for you! As a matter of fact, she is one of the co-hosts on the TOGA TEAM for the POF Halloween Party planned in Sarasota/Bradenton on October 31st.
We actually HOPE to see some Miami Fisshies at this party (we had several in April at a Sarasota POF party)........
That being said, I sincerely HOPE that you are able to find a time that works for YOU as the host that as MANY people as possible can attend!!! I know, speaking for myself, I would LOVE to attend a party in MIAMI! Unfortunately, if it is on Halloween........can't be at two places at one time !!!

Luckily I have been extremely successful with all events I have hoested thus far
Just so you know, if you are a professional party host or you work at the venue POF will find out and when they do you get your account deleted AND the venue gets black listed. Recently there were 12 party hosts in FL that were banned for breaking the rules.
Now, on to happier topics:
Pastor...bringing us all out of our sinful ways... Uhhh... Nancy, I think most people will tell you that I am generally bringing people in the opposite direction! | |

Posted: 9/25/2009 9:06:56 AM | Hey guys... no worries. I am not a professional host... Just a South Beach Hotel concierge and Miami Ambassador for a website where I add the content for Miami.
I do not work at any venues, have any ties to them, or professionally host parties on a weekly basis... No worries :) I read the terms.... I'm not that slow  The last event I helped with was my last Halloween party and it's because I thought to myself "I want to have a big halloween party where everyone can have fun.... and I don't have to worry about cleaning up afterwards" and that's where the annual halloween party idea began.
If the statewide party wasn't like 29 years away I would help with yours, but I know VERY well NONE of my people are willing to drive that far when they have Lincoln Road and Coconut Grove within just a few blocks from them to party hard.
Not breaking any rules... Just looking to bring some more fun times to the Miami POF people because I see there is a lot of us (in the younger demographic) that would definitely have great times by getting together just like the up North POF'ers do!! | |

Miami k........FYI....we do have a car pool for anyone who would like to attend the STATEWIDE EVENT,we have a share room plan as well,in case you or anyone in your area would like to attend!!!
