Are you musical at all.?Page 1 of 2    (1, 2)
l really love to play my clarinet and guitar, I wish I had more time to play them I really do.

Music is such a cool thing to do.

Do you like to play or are you learning anything.?.?

Its a thing that's grown on me as I've got older, when I was younger I preferred to just listen to music.

I was actually in a couple of bands in the 80's, one of which supported U2, well when I say supported we were on the same bill at Leeds Futurama, along with about 30 other bands, and U2. Despite this I have absolutely no musical talent at all.
Not being able to play an instrument well, especially the piano, is one of my biggest regrets, along with a thousand and one other regrets!

Sort of! I'm good at picking out tunes by ear and did keyboard lessons for a couple of years and so learnt how to read music....but that was about 10 years ago. It would be nice to take it up again since I've discovered there's a Yamaha music school that's not too far from where I live now. I also joined a singing group last year and I loved it. My son is the musical one. He plays the piano, guitar, clarinet and saxophone and seems to take to musical instruments like a duck to water. I agree that music making is a wonderful thing and I derive a lot of pleasure from listening to music, especially when it's live.

My best instrument is my voice, I play keyboard and dodgy guitar due to a smashed hand (I got it caught it a jam filling machine years ago so a couple of fingers won't bend), I still made a good living from singing in pubs and clubs and still enjoy it, I dont do as many gigs as I used to because 3 years ago became a single dad, regular sitters are hard to find, its not like a 9-5 job, but still keep my hand in when I get the chance,

As a kid I loved the keyboard/piano and can play those, and I bought myself a guitar which I haven't really been playing as I broke a string when I first tuned it and since then it has just been sitting against the wall ;)

Music is a massive part of my life - I love strumming on m guitar, playing the piano, or just having a tinkle on the ivories. Its just a shame that i never really got good at one particular instrument and kind of just play a few, and whatever fancies me. I always love hearing others play, and if you love music you can get alot of joy from it!

I like nothing better when I'm winding down to have a quick go on the old bongos.

Self-taught keyboard player here . I've also had more than one lady tell me I have quite an unusual fingering technique!

Had this really brilliant MIDI keyboard and soundcard set up on my old PC, and used to use the studio software to write & produce comedy songs. Sadly, the card and keyboard aren't compatible with my new pooter, so I haven't played in ages.

I think one of my comedy creations remains on YouTube, and still gets a few hits from time to time.

I can't play anything, I can't seem to be able to read music, I call it music dyslexia lol

My wee bro however is an extremely talented little fecker, he plays piano, bagpipes, accordion, guitar the list goes on. He also writes music. He has just started a music course at college.

I think it's safe to say he will be famous, just so long as his head doesn't get any bigger, he has such a big head he has been re named Mr C0cky big Bollox.

I absolutely love music!

I started learning the piano at the age of 9 and haven't looked back. I really enjoy writing and recording music too; got signed to an independent label in Canada last year. 23 years of persistance finally paid off..no mansions or flash cars as of yet, though. Mind you, I would settle for a 2-bedroom cottage in the country. ;)

Bass guitar is my second instrument - really enjoy that too, great fun and more portable than lugging around a stack of keyboards!

Fairly musical, was a gymnast so floor routines with music, majorette, all routines with music, played trumpet for a few years at school, then dance college and I sing a bit too. Wish I'd kept up learning an instrument and maybe I'll take something up again at some stage.

Yes, I like to bang away on the bongos, and love watching someone have a good blow on my flute. I write a lot of songs, working towards a CD by Christmas amongst the divorce and car crashes and looking after two girls, following Eastenders and holding down a responsible job.

I can follow guitar tabs, but can't play ear. I'm useless at timeing, but i guess that all comes with practice... ok - next week i will pick up one of my guitars again and start practicing.
I'd love to play the saxaphone.

LOL despite what my profile says, I'm actually a guitar and percussion teacher so you could say I have a bit of a flare for it.

Guitar is my first instrument but I actually have more fun playing drums these days but not having a kit at home really sucks. I might try and pick up a cheap digital kit and sticking it upstairs so I can bash away to my hearts content without bothering the neighbours.
