(Corner of Birchmount Rd and Danforth Rd) - In the Plaza, with lots of parking.
Birchmount Plaza, right smack dab on the north west corner of Birchmount Ave and Danforth Rd in Scarborough. Please note that Danforth Rd is the Danforth that angles down through Scarborough and NOT the Danforth Ave. that stretches across the east end of the city. Birchmount intersects with both, so I thought I had better clear that up. The one we want is one block south of St. Clair Ave
THIS IS GOING TO BE A BLAST! The Birchmount is a large venue with a big dance floor, pool tables, two outdoor patios(smoker's Rejoice a place to smoke) The D.J. starts at 9:00 and will play your requests ALL NIGHT LONG.
The host/hostess will be working the door until 10pm. If you arrive after 10pm look for the people wearing the name tags they will all be members of Plenty of Fish.
The management is WAIVING the usual men's cover charge. Just let the doorman know you are from POF. No cover charge for ladies.
The Birchmout will also provide some late night snacks for us. All designated drivers please let the waitresses know who you are the bar offers compliamentary soft drinks for all d.d.'s.

I actually do the promotions for the bar itself on facebook. Although it is legal to drink in Ontario at 19, Cactus Pete's has a age minimum of 21. They do use their own descretion on this and will let those legal age in. ID is required, even if you're of age and you get ID'd without it, you will not be allowed entry.
There are some rules and dress codes that have been implemented recently...
No ball caps ( women tend to be an exception )
NO gang colours of any kind
No baggy jeans ( nothing sagging below the belt line..if you know what I mean)

The bar stay's open until 2am. It typically gets busier around 11/11:30. It is still worth going.
With it being Halloween, there is a gauranteed to be a great turn out.
Just so everyone knows, IF you can't make it on the Friday for the POF event, there is an additional party on the 31st.  | |
