heh.. yea those are pretty common on the net. I feel there likely on the up and up... I mean, like who can blame them over there? Im afraid that the Russian ladies dont have a clear understanding of the average income level of a typical American male however... It seems that millions of them figure any one of us can spring for their airplane ticket over here to get married based on one email. | |

They usually prey on weaker guys who have a hard time finding dates, so they figure a pretty young Russian woman pays them some attention and they can smell the visas. Posted: 10/22/2004 10:50:11 PM | 99% of these letters are written by Russian Dating Agency staff and the girl is not even real...It is just a fake profile they make for her.
The idea here is that once you reply you will soon be told that for your correspondence to continue you must register with the 'Agency' as the girl's account has not been paid and in order to continue correspondence you must pay the fees....usually monthly or per letter including translations.
They will milk you of your money for as long as possible :) | |

Well, people can get burned on both sides. There was a famous story a couple years ago about an American man that had a gal from over their flown over to the states to marry. As the story told on Am talk radio had it: This guy killed the woman and cut her into little pieces shortly after the marriage.

Jammer, I did have info in my profile for awhile, updated every so often too, but didn't think anyone really read them anyway and it didn't matter if I filled in all of those questions, I never get any decent people emailing or trying to talk, just the whack jobs. No I'm not 69, it's an attention getter so you see, it worked, lol. I can now say mid-20's, I turned 25 Wednesday. | |
