COME ON DOWN TO THE COUNTRY AND SPEND THE DAY WITH US!!
SATURDAY,OCTOBER 10,2009
We will begin our day of fun at 12 noon for an afternoon of volleyball, softball,basketball,horseshoes,sitting around visiting and enjoying each others company. AROUND 5:00pm or whenever we get hungry,we will grill hamburgers and hotdogs for dinner. We will also have a bonfire around dark and be cleaned up and ready to leave around 9 pm.We will be at the BAPTIST ASSOCIATION CAMPGROUND OUTSIDE OF BENTON,MO.
** DIRECTIONS** FROM I-55 TAKE THE EXIT 80 (BENTON/DIEHLSTADT) TURN EAST (OPPOSITE WAY FROM BENTON) AND GO AROUND 3 MILES. CAMGROUND IS ON THE RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM UNITY BAPTIST CHURCH. THIS IS ON HWY.77. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.....BUT
IF ANYONE STILL HAS ANY ENERGY LEFT AT THE END OF THE NIGHT,THERE IS A LITTLE BAR DOWN THE ROAD A COUPLE OF MILES,WE COULD ALL GO TO FOR SOME DANCING,IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO.
YOU WILL EACH BE ASKED TO SIGN UP TO BRING SOMETHING TO ADD TO THE COOKOUT. IF THERE IS A MILLIONAIRE AMONG US, MAYBE THEY WOULD WANT TO FURNISH IT ALL, BUT JUST IN CASE, HERE IS A LIST OF THE THINGS WE WILL BE NEEDING:
hamburger patties
hotdogs,brats,etc.
hamburger & hotdog buns
condiments: mayo,mustard,ketchup,bq sauce
potato salad
chips
dips
baked beans
lettuce,pickles,sliced tomatoes,sliced onions
desserts
paper products:napkins,forks,spoons,cups
soft drinks
bottled water
ice/coolers
platters for burgers
casseroles/bring serving spoons please
charcoal/lighter fluid
aluminum foil
Large garbage bags
If anyone has some extra firewood you could bring it for the bonfire too.
If anyone has a grill they could bring,please let me know. I will bring mine too.

BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIR OR 2 IF YOU HAVE AN EXTRA. THERE WILL BE INDOOR RESTROOMS WHERE YOU CAN ALSO CHANGE CLOTHES IF YOU NEED TO.
I'M PLANNING ON GOOD WEATHER AND HOPE THIS WILL BE ONE OF OUR BEST GET TOGETHERS YET!!! TELL ALL YOUR SINGLE FRIENDS ABOUT IT AND JUST TELL THEM TO JOIN IN ON BRINGING SOME FOOD OR YOU BRING ENOUGH FOR THEM TOO.
WHEN YOU SIGN UP FOR THE EVENT ,PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU WILL BE BRINGING AND I'LL PUT YOUR NAME BESIDE THE ITEM ON HERE.
I WILL BE NEEDING ALL OF YOU TO HELP THAT DAY TO GREET,WELCOME NEWBIES, GET THE FOOD READY,NEED A GRILLER OR TWO,ETC. WE'RE ALL ADULTS SO PLEASE STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND HELP PLEASE!!!!!

I hope you will all join us for a special time to just get out and hang out with us here in the country. Lets all just pray for a nice weather day! If you have frisbees or anything else you want to play with outside bring it along with you. I may be getting a sound system for a few hours too,not sure yet though. If the weather is bad,we will have to cancel. I will try to get online the day before or the morning of the event to let you all know how things are looking for us. Come on down!!! Kathie(MOKAT)

It's located about 15 miles from Sikeston and there are some overnight camping places there if you have a trailer. You weren't talking about tent camping were you? Hope you can make it. I came over to Springfield to a dance and it was about 4 hours for me I think. Remember too that this will probably get cancelled if it's raining. We will have this thing if at all possible so come on over. .....Kathie | |

I will let you know when its closer to time.. and if i do come I will bring what even i can. I say if something happens and it get canceled... maybe all those that want to.. can meet at a club or something. The weather man is calling for us to get a lot of rain on Friday now and I hate to wait any later on a decision. If a lot of people had signed up maybe we could have all gotten together and decided to do something else but it looked like there weren't that many interested in having an outdoor event. I guess we will just keep having the dances until something else comes up for us to do. So far it seems like everyone enjoys doing them. If anyone has any ideas please let us know. Kathie (MOKAT) | |

The last time I had to hurry back from a day of fun with Joe in Nashville and we were late getting back up to the dance. You all stepped up to help and I really appreciated it. That's what it's going to take to make this thing keep working. We can even try to find another place to party if anyone knows a place in the area that will follow the POF guidelines.
