I've just been on a date with a lovely man, we seem to have a lot in common, music, movies, life lived so far as well as outlook and values. He is attractive, not as tall as i would like but whos perfect? although he ticks a lot of my boxes I am not feeling the pow wow factor. I am used to meeting a guy and knowing instantly there is a connection, but this never happens anymore. Is it a strictly 20 something phenomenon or are we getting fussier and fussier as we get older?

The problem with you is that you are thinking like a HR professional: too analytical and no soul. Instead you should talk to someone you fancy!

Well if he ticks a lot of the boxes see him a few more times and try and find somihing attractive about him to focus on. Sometimes the fireworks instantly feeling doesnt last and maybe this guy is a safe option who will last longer.

Good men are hard to come by so don't throw one away unless you are really really sure you can't make it work.

I agree with goldiecat I havent had that powwow instant attraction thing in ages, it may come with time, but it seems to be a distant memory of my 20's....

Well I think that that feeling has alot to do with lust, and I honestly belive that as we get older our priorties (and our bodies prioties) change so the lust is a bit more controled by other factors

I am a fussy biatch, and i have no problem admitting it!

Im fussy because, i know what i want and what i dont want.

I had my first child when i was 17, and went on to have 3 more kids to the same guy, amd i stayed with him for 13 yrs!

There was never any pow wow factor as you put it, maybe a little bit at the start......but i was young and foolish and didnt know what i was letting myself in for.........(i should've shot the kunt )

I put up with a lorra lorra shite, because he was the father of my children, and i thought i loved him.

Since i split with him.......about 4 yrs now, ive matured so much, and i now know i will never put up with such shite again.

Thats the main reason im so fussy.

You gotta dig out them oul weeds, to find the flowerbed!

I've got my kids to consider now, i cant be doing with shagging rings round me, or hooking up with any oul yoke just cos i got a horn on me!

Only the best will do for me, and i will find it someday!!
