| What have your dates been like so far?

I find it quite interesting when as part of a date we share some snippets of how it went with previous dates. (this sometimes pops up in the conversaton) It is probably a 2 minute conversation out of an hour or so & usually some funny anecdotes. | |

Posted: 10/6/2009 3:05:07 AM | Every single date I have gone on I have embarked on it with the intention of it being my last date, and that I would be with that girl for ever (now where is that 'being sick in a bucket' icon).
Looks like my last date is actually going to be my last date, if you know what I mean.
However, referencing another thread about 'talking about personal issues', perhaps best not to mention that on here, so I won't. | |

I think I approach them in the opposite to you CWC in that I look forward to a really fun evening with someone who will hopefully amuse me and if it happens that there is a spark, then that's a bonus! I've made some great friends out of the meets/dates I've had here who I continue to meet up with when we get chance......so, all in all, gets the thumbs up from Cakey!!
Actually there was one that was a bit scarey but that was way back!! | |

I've lost any enthusiasm for dating at the moment so I'll stick to reading the forums and talking to the friends I already have. If new friends come along that's not a problem but really that's all I want right now. | |

So, to repeat myself ( again ) I have been on a few dates from here, most have been OK , one or two are potential stalkers, and one was the mad Psycho b!tch from Hell | |

That's how I feel about it all at the moment but when I was doing the dating thing from here they all went well and were good evenings and with varying success from friends to serious relationship so when the mood takes will definitely try again.
They have all gone very well, the only thing stopping them from going further is distance, I'm not really looking for a long distance relationship.
So why go on the date in the first place? | |

Posted: 10/6/2009 5:48:37 AM | Hmmm well I spose when I think about it the dates themselves were ok they just didnt go any further than a 1 off date and the people I met didnt reallly want a " proper" relationship.
The people have always turned out to be who they said they were and looked pretty much how I expected them to look so in that respect pretty lucky. Just wish they wanted more than a shag on the first date!

Posted: 10/6/2009 5:50:51 AM | Most of mine have been pretty good, I tend to meet people as a friend, if there is some chemistry between us then maybe a second or third date will follow, but can't say I've had any bad ones from here, there was one off a paid site that was really scary, but I lived to tell the tale and learnt a valuable lesson......however I'm still looking for that elusive ONE man........... | |

i have realised tho at how fussy and picky and down right nasty some women can be tho............i have learned a lot from this site.
i dare say that some women have experienced the same, tho i cant see the men on here being as fussy and as picky.

So true!!
I've met 3 women from this site.
1) Had lots of chats, but there was a particular thing she didn't like about me. She still wanted to meet me though! So the next time I was in her town we did so. She was OK, I wasn't that attracted to her. She then indicated that because of the thing she didn't like, she didn't think we could go any further! In other words, she met me just out of curiosity! I didn't care that we weren't going to meet (or communicate again), just found it odd!
2) Lived 25 miles away, but we agreed to meet with very little pre-planning at a town about mid-way. She didn't look as good as in her pics, but of course women's profile pics normally show them at their glammed up best! She then had the affront to claim that my profile pic didn't look like me, when in actual fact it was very recent and a near perfect likeness. When I noticed hair coming from a place it really shouldn't on a woman, that was it for us!
3) Messaged me in an "ironic" way because she was the complete polar opposite of everything I specified in my profile as looking for in a woman. She was very flirtatious though and quite attractive, so we met up...knowing that a relationship wasn't on the cards! We took a drive into the countryside on the first meeting, and took a night together in a hotel on the second meeting. It fizzled out then, but ironically she was the best of the three!  | |

If they appear to be the complete opposite of what you desire...is there any point in meeting in the first place?
I am actually very easy to date I have very few requirements : male, unmarried, local thats about it lol I leave the rest upto chemistry.
I rarely mess around messeging back and forth for ever I like to get down to the nitty gritty str8 away! oh er mrs lol | |

She was the opposite of what I seek in a relationship; but since that's not what we were going to have and she was attractive; there was every point meeting in the first place (and even more so the "second place"). | |
