Posted: 10/9/2009 8:59:36 PM | I know so many of us have trouble expressing "who we are" to the opposite sex. Our profile just isn't enough. This deletable thread (aren't mine always deleted) gives YOU the POF'er the ability to express who you are to the opposite sex with a single song. No more stumbling over words at a coffee date.
As I created this thread, I'd like to start. This song reflects who I am..and the joint thumps my car (Fritz, the Trunk of Funk).

It's off topic..but while i was living in Edmonton I used to listen to the Bounce 91.7. They have a program called My 5, which lets a listener pick 5 of their favourite songs. One night, the DJ Jake Ryan let his GF pick 5 songs because it was her birthday. In a world controlled by the man/machine where the common person has no choice..I thought it was incredibly awesome to hear something like this. Tho nothing really gooey was said, the quiet message between both of them was loud and clear.
It was one of those moments you rarely hear in this impersonal world..and probably one I won't forget for a long long time. It was.."nice". Kudo's to Jake for doing that.
That last song she played for "him"? I'd never heard it before but it was Rihanna's Umbrella..the Acoustic version.

Posted: 10/10/2009 11:51:59 AM | hmmmmm this was a great idea ... songs can say so much more then ones words , cuase lets face it , most of the time we are hearing what we want to hear not what someone is saying ... maybe that's from being a parent , "selective hearing " lol .....
as far as the dating scene i have one favorite one , maybe it's cause i'm older and wanna know more than how big your bra is and what ya wear for undies ( it's all part of it for sure) . but this one kinda fits what i wanna know after i have established the fact i'm attracted to someone ...

It was just me and my daughter since she was a baby, I didn't date until she was almost 7....Instead of "She had a 5-year old to feed" I was singing "She had an 8 year old to feed"...
These days, after a lot of dating, I can't think of any song in particular that would define me but I like to think it's not Hall & Oat's Man Eater.
