Posted: 10/16/2009 5:12:06 PM | Poffer arriving from out of town noonish Saturday ... hang out & talk up a storm as usual ... din din at my place ... yeah I actually cooked, made a very tasty turkey veg stew with a little kick at 3-4 a.m. today. 
Then we're off to a concert at Massey Theatre Sat night ... my 'Elvis' friend & family members' band are performing with a few other tribute artists.
Will be a late night so sleepover (him on the sofa) ... breakfast & lunch on Sun & maybe an outing somewhere ... will play it by ear then he heads home in the afternoon.  | |

Tomorrow marks the 10yr anniversary of the day should've died.
I had a really bad bail while mountain biking, and spent 2 months in a coma.
Some of the friends will have been there to experience the craziness, while some of my newer friends will discover just how crazy it was for everyone!!
We'll hang out at my place and relax with some burgers and snacks before heading out to the pub for drinks and craziness!! | |

I've heard of dating "pretty boys" but never a lazy boy..... 
Me, I'm trying to get stuff done around the place prior to my operation at the end of the month. Just found out that the "day surgery" is going to take apx. 2 1/2 hours!!! Shite, I wonder how long regular surgical procedures take ??? | |

Posted: 10/17/2009 12:49:55 AM | Well...it was a long evening at work but the "weekend" has now started. Saturday will start with cleaning the house followed by a bit of shopping in the afternoon and I got a date and an evening of music with Steve Dawson Trio at our local jazz spot.

I met someone last weekend on eHarmony free weekend.....eeeeeeeeeek!..turns out he is on POF too! He is busy this weekend...but I am meeting him at the gym Mon morning!! Hope the sight of me in spandex does not scare him off!

Have been sick for a month, flu for a week which turned into pneumonia which needed two rounds of antibiotics, then a few days moping & grieving for my bird that died on Thanksgiving weekend. So the house hadn't been touched in a month. I broke the record cleaning my house all day & all night but it sure feels good. (Hey, there's two song lyrics buried in there ... "all night long" & "it sure feels good").
My back, however, doesn't feel so good & my Poffer date is arriving from the Island soon. Hey, I wonder if he knows how to do massage? Oh hell, I'm sure even if he doesn't, he'll fake it.

Re my weekend, I was supposed to go on the Cowichan Valley Camera Club field trip today, but of course, with this much rain happening, I'm not about to take camera equipment outdoors.
My neighbour's oven is on the blink, so she's bringing over her turkey to cook in my oven this afternoon, for her guests. We're invited, but will decline with thanks, as she will have a houseful as it is.
Tomorrow? A bit of work on the grounds, if they aren't too 'squishy' (which they probably will be). Nothing else planned.
Re POF dates, none so far and no prospects, either. Maybe someday ... or somewhere else(?). In the meantime, there's cameraderie with camera club members, and of course, POF forums. | |
