Posted: 10/17/2009 4:50:25 PM | I had a really lengthy and nice phone conversation with a POF woman earlier today, whih ended with the expectation of a second call.
My question for both men and women on here is, how many phone conversations does one have before one can expect phone sex?
If I go with the 3 call rule and we had one call already and tonight she calls me back, then that's 2 calls. If she needs to go potty or my battery dies and we have to call back again we could quickly reach the 3 call limit on the first night. That would mean the next call is OBT (Ohhhh Baby Time).
I haven't told her that I get free long distance so as far as she knows I'm shelling out the big LDB's (long distance bucks). Not that I want her to feel like she's one of those 900-babes, I just want her to know I'm ponying up for the phone sex so she should be ready when I "cash out".
So again I ask. Does 3 calls sounds about right? I'm really serious about this. | |

The 3 phone call rule is some arbitrary number that the younger generation seems to have come up with. What is it with kids nowadays? You know, back in the day...
Just as long as you realize that one phone call does not make a phone relationship, no matter if your long distance is free or not.
Are you looking for a PPWB (Phone Pal With Benefits) arrangement? Make sure you both talk about it, because one of you may be assuming something from the other.
Yes, it's OK to call other women UNLESS you've had the "phone exclusivity" talk.
She hasn't called you back yet today? No, she is probably busy. I don't think it necessarily means she's not interested. Give it a day or two and then move on.
Long distance doesn't work. You need to be in the same area code and talk on a somewhat regular basis in order to have a realistic phone relationship.

If you have that odd accent that many from your area (Maryland and that little island state north of you) have, then phone sex is on the seven call / 10 day rule. Each must have passed before you can even ask her what she's wearing or mention your leopard print bikini briefs that you wear on such special occassions.
If you don't have that odd accent, but you speak with a bit of a twang that is known to be rampant south of the Mason Dixon line, then it has dropped down to three call / five day rule. Unless you're on the phone with a relative then all bets are off and I believe phone sex is acceptable after you establish that yes, you will indeed still speak to him/her at the next family gathering.
No accent means that you are under a three call / two day rule... so wait for midnight to pass and the path is clear...

For some odd reason this reminds me of the year one of the goofy radio stations here thought they'd broadcast a bulletin on the morning of April Fools day telling people that the phone company was going to "blow out the lines" at noon and everyone was supposed to put a plastic bag over the receiver and mouthpiece and secure it with an elastic band to avoid getting "gunk" shooting into there houses.
