Posted: 7/10/2005 7:43:28 PM | Do you think men or women who show some skin will get more responses or women and men who choose not to show some skin.what im trying to say is if you show some thighs and some breast do you think you will get more responses. do you think a person has to do all of that before they get a responce. Im pretty sure if a woman on here wasnt showing much of her body and then change her pictures and now has on a two piece with some clevage showing,shes going to get some responses.do you think a woman can be sexy without showing anything.no offense to anybody.but I have notice alot that some will have alot of people save them as a favorite if they have some skin showing.but for those who dont they dont have many people adding them. | |

I DO value a pic as an important part of a profile though, even if they're bundled up in a blanket and you can just see their face. Though on the other hand, there's the fun of messaging someone who claims to be athletic, but has no pic, and seeing what they look like after. The last time I did that, I was blown clean out of the water. I figured she'd be athletic but didn't think she'd have such a pretty face.

I'm just as bad as the next guy for it... I'm a real sucker for a pretty face, or nicely shaped body parts. So when I'm browsing through searches or forums, I'll tend to take a look at profiles that look like they have a nice picture. A closeup of a really pretty face, or a shapely figure in a nice dress are the most common pictures that will draw me in, but a nice pose in a two piece will certainly do it also!
Then, while I'm there I'll usually scan the profile and decide from there. But it's often the picture that draws me in.
do you think a woman can be sexy without showing anything Yes! As a general rule, it's much sexier to give hints at what might be there rather than just show it. For example, lingerie is sexier than nudity, and a nice dress that showcases a girl's figure can really make a guy drool. :)
On a more personal note, if you think you need a better picture to get more responses but you don't want to run a mini-porn site off of POF, then I'd recommend taking a picture with more detail. Looking at your picture it's hard to see anything about you other than your general body type, your skin colour and your hair colour... you might have a pretty face but it's hard to tell.

As for showing skin, regardless of if you show it or not, you will get responses. But depending on how much skin you show, you'll get responses from different types of people. You should ask yourself what type of responses you're looking for. | |

Yeah well you are right.my picture is to far away and not that close to see my face.Ive tried several times on making the picture up more close.But for some reason it shrinks right on back to small size.Ive had one person I chat with on here ask me did I scan the picture and the answer is yes I did.Im getting a digital camera in three weeks so I can take more close ups.well I get a few responses but not many.its not about popularity with me.I just wanted to know why some not respond much and if you have to dress a certain way to get responses.but then again maybe I dont need responses from those guys anyway maybe they are not up for the right thing.who knows.Im just trying to get to know people thats all. | |

There is no "trick" to getting responses, unless you're just trying to fill your inbox up. The image that you project here, whatever that is, is the image that will be expected when you meet someone face to face. A woman's sexiness comes more from inside herself with a confidence in her womanliness and feminity the clothes are merely a decoration. A sexy woman is sexy in a potatoe sack. | |
