I was shocked and started to cry while the receptionist booked biopsy and Dr. and her talked about the fax machine being broken. I got the impression it was worth more than my life. Thanks for the info. I am going to do some reading. It was just such a shock and so unexpected. | |

It's good you had a biopsy for your peace of mind, but quite possibly if it looks and feels like period, you're back with it again...

Posted: 11/6/2009 1:30:45 PM | Yes the medical profession are sometimes very blase about what is wrong possibly because they are in contact with disease every day of their lives and don't realise how traumatic it is for the patient. Don't want to sound like a prophet of doom, but assume the worst senario and do all you can to "cure it" naturally with the food you eat and drinks. There are supplements I know of that have cured several serious diseases including cancer, however if you are going to take supplements make sure they are Food Supplements extracted from whole food, and not vitamins from synthetic sources as these can do more harm than good. As a general rule it's good to eat and drink healthily anyway you will find that you Feel Better and have more energy so do yourself a big favour and change your eating habits.  | |

OP, I would have to agree with 747... go to a naturopathic DR for a second opinion and they can lead you to a very different path and mindset... Posted: 11/7/2009 3:49:28 PM | | hi.. ^^^^^ as stated in his post he means food grade items not processed money making scams.... google Dr McDougall, he has been curing heart disease without meds or operations for 33 yrs... diabetes can be cured with diet alone.. imho 80% of cancer can be beaten with prevention and education but I think that too much money is wrapped up in the business so it remains a deadly disease of lifestyles and mainstream medical protocol.... blessings for health and awareness | |

You are telling me to do my own research to find evidence that I don't believe exist, to support your statement. If there is any thing at all that supports your statement that you can "cure " heart disease, cancer and diabetes with out medical care then what is the evidence. Don't tell me to find it. If any one with Heart disease, diabetes, or cancer believes your totally unfounded statements and eats supplements instead of getting medical attention then they could die needlessly. | |

The biggest problem with trying to eat healthy is that the food growers and processors are only interested in bottom lime profits, and because of this we are being fed inferior foods. Which gives a very good reason to use FOOD Supplements not synthetic vitamins. You will perhaps have noticed in your research that even the medical profession do NOT CLAIM to "cure" they only say it might help as no one can give you any assurance of that. Could this be why you didn't find any evidence of cure. There are many anecdotal reports of people being "cured" but as we are all different, what works for one may, or may not work for another, the same applies to main stream medicine, which is why you aren't supposed to give your medication to anyone else!
My personal experiences have led me to be firmly convinced that ALL the major killer diseases are preventable through good nutrition and quality supplements. So for my healths sake I will continue to take my supplements and eat as healthily as possible, you can do as you wish, after all your health is your concern and only you can either improve it or carry on down the slippery slope towards the inevitable.    | |

People can do anything they choose to do as long as they realize that there is not any scientific evidence to support your claims. People who endorse supplements usually say that drug companies don't make money off of supplements and that is why you never hear about them. That is another completely unsubstantiated claim. It doesn't matter how many unsubstantiated claims you make, they still don't add up to evidence or proof of anything. | |

Posted: 11/9/2009 1:54:47 PM | Don't freak out; doctors frequently scare you with the word biopsy. I've had several (skin, gyn, liver) and all were negative. With malpractice so rampant, I think they order them sometimes more to cover their butts rather than out of serious concerns. Get it anyhow; if you do have a problem you want to know as soon as possible.
And, as other posters have said, beware of internet postings, supplements and ads by people who are not medically licensed or trained. Supplements can be great, but they can also cause serious drug interactions, so tell your doc EVERYTHING you're taking. I take turmeric, a powerful antioxidant that is really a spice (used in curries), and one of my doctors had never even heard of it. There are also web sites where you can enter your meds and supplements to check for potentially harmful interactions.
So, don't be afraid. Just pray, meditate and keep your appointments. Good luck. | |
