Last night in the Off Topic forum, I started a thread about pets. There were several replies, and the people involved seemed to like the topic. This morning I check, and the thread has been deleted. I would like to know why.

Last night in the Off Topic forum, I started a thread about pets. This morning I check, and the thread has been deleted. I would like to know why. No doubt redundant or a survey poll type thread. Full list of rules at the top of each forum, or simply read them here: Acceptable Use and Posting Rules Posting Guidelines Use your thread search to seek out other pet threads that are out there and join that discussion. There were several replies, and the people involved seemed to like the topic. Makes no difference if people like it - users would reply to "What's growing in the back of your refrigerator" if posted, which is hardly valid.

The various forums have many redundant topics that are not being deleted. I just did a search. I found only one thread that is similar to mine, and it is from months ago.

Then do your civic duty and report them here in the rules violations thread: http://forums.plentyoffish.com/datingPosts12578637.aspx Only three Mods and millions of users here, so you may help keep POF beautiful by reporting redundant threads. I just did a search. I found only one thread that is similar to mine, and it is from months ago. The problem with your thread, it was a survey thread, as already pointed out the Mod. It was also a chat thread, but the main reason it was reported: In Message 1 you asked users to look at your profile to see the pics of your cats. That would be considered Attention seeking or a mild form of Broadcasting. Please refer to the rules next time before posting another thread to be sure it is within the guidelines set forth for validity.
