| Coming to Colorado December 7th
Posted: 10/25/2009 9:24:39 PM | | I am going on a hunting trip to Craig and Meeker, leaving Missouri December 7th. If I get snowed in a for a couple of weeks it sure would be nice to meet up with someone for friendship. Year before last I took a big tour of the coal mine south of Craig, and that was really interesting. Wanted to tour the big power plant at Craig, but couldn't get scheduled in. I really enjoy the old museum in Meeker and try to visit it each time I'm there. Sure would like to talk to a lady who knows about fishing that time of year on the Yampa and White Rivers. This year I didn't draw a tag for the December season. There are tags still available on private land in December. I would be willing to pay a modest trespass fee if anyone knows of a good location for elk around Craig or Meeker. If I don't get a tag for private land, I may just have to sight see and hope I meet some nice people for friendship. May sound crazy, but I am going to try and go to church one Wednesday night over in Maybell. I am not into bars and nigh life. I guess there is still lots of bars and music over at Steamboat Springs. | |
