| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 10/26/2009 1:35:23 PM | Hey all. Just wondering what people do on the weekends if they don't have a date for Saturday night?
Do you tackle some chores? Have a date with yourself? (that's NOT what I mean) Go out with friends? Do a little pampering? Drink yourself into a deep pool of self pity wondering why the eligible bachelors and bachelorettes of metro aren't knocking down your door?
I usually have a movie night with my kids. Bottle of vino and popcorn along with some gore is pretty much like a few dates I've had anyway, ha.
Here's to one less single Saturday night! Cheers

Hey all. Just wondering what people do on the weekends if they don't have a date for Saturday night? What ever I want to.
Which usually involves a trip to the gym.
Do you tackle some chores? I do chores daily so Sat is no different, if there something that needs to be done I will do it.
Have a date with yourself? Everyday is date with myself.
Go out with friends? Sometimes.
Do a little pampering? Yep. Watch a documentary and or exercise, anything that you can do to improve yourself mentally or physically I consider pampering.
Drink yourself into a deep pool of self pity wondering why the eligible bachelors and bachelorettes of metro aren't knocking down your door? I rarely drink and do not have to wonder about my door,as I already know why. Door Bell has been broken for a long time.

| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 10/27/2009 3:26:37 AM | Saturday nights are usually my "me time" ! A time to watch movies , go out for supper with a friend , generally a lazy nite of the week . | |
|
| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 10/27/2009 10:45:50 AM | Friday nights are usually "me time" however look forward to Saturday nights
if no date for a Sat evening, and no plans made...I invite a friend/friends over for cards/boardgames/movie... or plan a theme dinner party...a cpl bottles of wine in the middle of the table, everyone pitching in chopping and preparing, while great music playing on the stereo or some strumming the guitars ...a great way to spend a Sat night
|
| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 10/30/2009 3:10:27 PM | Saturday nights my kids are normally at their mothers, so I get to watch my non-pg movies that night. Nothing like a little horror when you are alone in the house to keep you awake.
I will spend Sunday sleeping in and watching Coronation Street in peace.
All in all, a very quiet and boring weekend.
|
| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 10/30/2009 8:10:05 PM | I do chores daily so Sat is no different
I'm liking this guy more and more.
Most weekends I don't have a date so it's not a stretch to entertain myself. I do whatever, bake something, put on some music, maybe tv, play with my cat, organize stuff, read...
|
| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 10/31/2009 3:09:50 PM | I dont have anything to do tonight...even though it is halloween...
Anyone wanna hang out in the Mission area?
I made an awesome pasta dish earlier, and I have laundry to do. Thats an example of a weekend for me. Playing guitar, slowly putting together my bathroom and fixing up stuff. Its all there, just has to be done eventually.
|
| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 11/1/2009 7:49:55 PM | If nothing is going on I usually lock myself into a room learning new tunes on guitar, with a few drinks to keep me loosened up and relaxed. Discovery Channel is on in the background as white noise.
I think I need a cat.... :(
|
| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 11/3/2009 3:02:33 AM | Saturday nights I usually stay home and watch television. No I don't go to clubs often..
My life is very exciting. Ha ha..

| |
| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 11/3/2009 6:10:31 AM | I'd take a few cold ones over to my buddy's place and work on my car. Nice heated garage :) Sitting home playing guitar or reading sounds good too. | |

| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 11/3/2009 1:52:33 PM | I just lost the battle with myself to resist the urge to wonder out loud what colour Killer's living room curtains are.
*sigh* | |
|
| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 11/3/2009 8:43:00 PM | too funny Daisy...why do u wonder?..do u have a neighbor with shear curtains doing something with his hand? *cough*
Saturday nights are great as long as it includes a sleep in Sunday

| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 11/4/2009 5:46:00 AM | | LOL, Daisy.........wiping that in the curtains would be gross. I have a f@#k sock that I use on lonely nights.....it's not easy being a guy....you women have mechanical devices to handle such needs........men have to do it by hand. | |

| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 11/4/2009 9:01:19 AM | yes Killer..."power tools" men could ALMOST be replaced with some of those gadgets... ...they scratch that itch when us females are single...instead of having meaningless sex from a one night stand, may as well handle it ourselves and not have a yucky feeling in the morning imo...to each their own tho, one nighters just aren't my thing, never was, never will be There are gadgets for u dudes too Killer, or u can always get a strange piece by using your other hand for a change lmao
Murder Mystery Dinner Parties are a blast to do on Sat. nights too...I host one every Feb for sure to get ppl thru the "blues" month...
|
| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 11/4/2009 3:23:12 PM | | I did a few of those, but only one everyone was really dressed u and into it and in character, it was lots of fun. | |

| Dateless Saturday nights Posted: 11/9/2009 5:00:00 AM | I never mind my own company so there isn't really a de rigeur plan for Saturday nights. I've got my parent hat on most of the time during the week, chauffeuring, referreeing, maintaining and if I get a quiet Saturday night to myself I'm pretty pleased. I do whatever I like. Nice to take a long hot bath, read a book, cook something fancy the kids wouldn't eat, dance barefoot in the kitchen....
I don't do the bar scene unless I'm with a crew because I love to dance. I did get out a few weeks ago with some of my daughter's friends and I forgot how much fun it was to just lose yourself in the music and dance till the club closes. But it isn't the best way to meet someone, too loud to talk and most people are high or drunk and not really themselves anyway.
