Please analyse my profile. All feedback gratefully received!

(It seems that we must post 200 characters or more for our forum posts to be accepted, so here are a few more letters from the alphabet... Daisy daisy, give me your answer do, I'm half crazy all for the love of you, It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage, But won't you look sweet upon the seat, Of a bicycle built for two. Dave... Stop, Dave... My mind is going... Dave...)

More pictures would be of great benefit. With your body type as "athletic", a full body shot is almost required.

It might help to expand on your interests, and try to be as specific as possible. For example, instead of "wine", go with your absolute favorite wine. Even the year. The more specific you can be, the better your chances of connecting with the reader.

I disagree with the recommendation for a full body shot to prove athleticism. More pics would be nice but that is a well-done profile pic.
I recommend expanding your interests list by getting more specific. Instead of (or along with) "music" add "classical" and "jazz." Also add horseback riding, socializing... See where I'm going with this?

So is your recommendation that the OP not post a full body shot?

"self-aware, self-actualized, individual, design business, non-profit arts, health, environment, eclectic, jazz, classical, cycle, gym, play piano, and can ride a horse. studied fashion and photography"
might want to make the points above inclusive. They're bragging and anti-chug-a-lug. However if you want only the high flying type its excellent. There's no appreciation of the lowest common denominators.

The following is good as its inclusive " built photo studios, make costumes for film and my own suits (only if necessary!) paper cranes, dirty martinis, and crush slabs of ice with my bare hands!"

I think the stuff in brackets in your intro "a few more letters from the alphabet" almost works as a profile on its own. - of course I accidentally stumbled across major chicks with junk in my profile about invading Spanish speaking countries, dumpster diving and how to be quiet in court.

Its not a bad profile .

Well! All I can say is I wish you were ten years older, or I were ten years younger,
and we both lived on the same side of the planet because YOU and your profile
rock, in my eyes!

Sure 38/52 isn't THAT horrible to me or anyone. But, 48/62 sure would be!

Edit to add ... This site and dating online in general is a very vanilla culture.
Count on not getting many replies for all kinds of good reasons.
Creative often reads "eccentric" that's what I like the most about your profile.
Most won't.

So, you do the searching by reading profiles by women with the same interests, in your area, that are attractive to you.
Then YOU do the writing. It's the only way. Keep it short and personalized (mention something in the lady's profile)
and ask a question about it, or anything that feels right, so she has something specific to answer with and hence, reply!

Best of luck!

Thanks, guys! Much appreciated. I'll see if I can refine it.

I've found it a bit tough actually getting many responses, and was starting to get paranoid. :( I recently rewrote it, as previously I just had a bit of a joke there with not much real info. But it did get some attention...

Yes, I thought some more photos might help, too.

...might want to make the points above inclusive. They're bragging and anti-chug-a-lug...

Good point. But if we can't brag in our own profiles, where can we? lol Do you think it would read better with less about achievements, and more of the fun stuff? Plus, I don't speak chug-a-lug very well! Any tips..?

So is your recommendation that the OP not post a full body shot?

No. I believe I was quite clear in my opinion that one need not prove an athletic build by posting a full body pic. Opinions on what constitutes an athletic build vary to some degree. A fully clothed fit individual may look like what someone else would describe as average. Some may expect a shirt about to burst at the seams while being stretched and strained over pumped up biceps the size of Rosie O'Donnel's thighs while others are turned off by such displays. And please do not even make me discuss the dreaded shirtless pic. So there's nothing wrong with a full body pic. I just disagree about what it proves if anything.

Now that I've hopefully repeated myself to your satisfaction, do you need me to pick your bunched up panties outta your a** too or kiss the booboo on your ego?

Thanks Rita!

You've got some nice pics in your profile!

Yes, I've been doing pretty much what you describe, but I wonder if I may be attracted to the wrong "type" whatever that is... Perhaps it's vanilla?

What does "manic the shark do you remember the best time..." have to do with what's in your profile? I think full body shots are a good idea, and most people to put up more than one photo. And you must already know you have to be the one to make first contact - and don't try to be funny, that's so hard to do in writing - and we won't take you seriously, even though you're a "serious" member! Save your lovely sense of humor for the right time - in person.

Good luck!

I absolutely agree. Considering Sumo is a sport, I'd want to know what the user feels qualifies.

My panties are fine, but I'll take the kiss in the general vicinity! (some people's kids....LOL!)

Caps is a sport. So is curling. And darts.

Basically anything that you can smoke and have a beer while doing it, is the perfect Canadian sport. That's why Sumo will never catch on here.

Trixie-Doo, you do have a point. But you've posted about 25 variants of your same rant now in the past 24 hours. You're beyond belaboring, give the dead horse a rest.

Perhaps you could go check your mailbox, which is no doubt filled to the gills with messages from all the Wimens who found your one grainy picture utterly irresistible.

Now there you go again with my profile picture...Listen Numb-nutz, did I ask for your pathetic advice on my profile? I think not......You must clearly be another from across the pond full of self-doubt. But hey, this topic will continue.

So you're saying your mailbox was NOT filled to the gills? Shocker!

Stay tuned, Tubby, you're about to see how much of a democracy this site really is...

Rant rant rant rant! Do we not live in a democratic society my dear friend. Do I not have the free right to write what I like?

No ... actually at this privately owned and run site you do not have the right to troll and flame as you have been for a few days.
READ THE RULES!
I asked you to stop yesterday and yet you continue. Who is it exactly, that is a loser and does not have a life? Those that are trying to improve themselves and those trying to help them or those that dive bomb every thread they can with inane put downs which have nothing to contribute to the topic at hand?

The moderators will decide, as they always do. It's just matter of time before you will disappear, without any co operation from you, if you do not stop this ridiculous, counterproductive posting.

You need more pictures... this one looks like it could be lifted from a website and not really you. Verification purposes and yes a full body shot. Content is good.
