I don't consider myself a prude by any stretch but I've attended a few POF parties and there have been cleavage shots taken along with other bawdy behavior posted in the aftermath threads. Personally, I think it gives the parties a bad image and I'm wondering when is showing skin too much, does it matter WHAT skin you're showing and at what point does it cross the line into sleaziness? | |

But on the other hand a more conservative woman may not be such a tease, but none the less, when the relationship turns sexual, it is damn fun to unwrap her like a present for the first time too. Can be sexy as hell.
I prefer the conservative women, but I am a guy and get turned on by the more flamboyant women. I want to have sex with the flamboyant woman, but I want to spend my life with the conservative woman. | |

That is indeed what I hear from friends and people I meet on pof, both male a female. It's the old school "one for this, one for that". You play with the ones you do not intend to marry. Short term versus long term. Both are great, but the choice is to be clear about which one one wants when. Each is a different call in terms of behavior and intent.
Oh, and it moves into sleezy when anything but your lovely smiling headshot enters. The rest is best saved for mutual enjoyment later on. Sleeze is way over used to attract men. Then the bellyaching begins about not being able to attract "worthy men". Oyi. | |

Correct. Also I would not go to a dating party if I thought it would be just another version of a bar meat-market setting. Getting drunk and staring down some gals blouse just is not a good way to meet the woman I want to bring home to meet the family. | |

Posted: 10/27/2009 9:35:13 PM | I'm not sure about that. First of all, a nightclub is a nightclub. Physical attraction is a big part, of course, of that scene.
Also, the standard for 'too much cleavage' can be a bit relative. e.g. the second pic in your profile might be considered too much by some and just fine by others.
What I think matters is that the woman know how to dress in other venues. Back when I was single the girl I was dating showed up for my family thanksgiving dinner in an army shirt half unbuttoned , leather pants and no bra. OTOH, someone who can dress 'hot' for a nightclub but also know how to dress appropriately for a chamber music concert would be fine by me.
One final thought. I recently went to a rennaisance faire. On the way back my 14yo said "WOW Dad, Corsets are Awesome". There was more cleavage there, which is a family venue, than what I typically see at POF events. God Bless the Elizabetheans. | |

Depends on what you are looking for. The more you show the more likely the drunk and sleazy ones will be seeing it as an invite to drool all over you. (At least an excuse)

i own a tanning salon. the 18 to 30 year olds come in with low cut tops and push em up to their chin bras. i've seen everything that nature gave to some of them except the nipple itself. it's amazing. | |

I would be more concerned with what you're wearing vs. the others. If they get the wrong attention then it's on them.
Personally, if a woman has a rockin' body and she can sport a revealing outfit GO FOR IT! It becomes tasteless when you have rolls and rolls of extra skin, and have the audacity to sport something that DOES NOT compliment their body type.
I wouldn't concern myself with this, OP. Let them have their glory and fun...they're entitled to it. | |
