salmon cakes and orzoPage 1 of 1
tonight I tried a recipe for salmon cakes with an orzo side dish. I got it from a new food network show: 10 dollar dinners. The salmon cakes were okay. They needed a little more zip, but i can work with them. The orzo, however, tasted too overcooked for me and so bland. I cooked it for the time, and temperature stated. It had chicken stock, a pinch of red pepper flakes, water, some lemon zest and a little thyme. It still tasted bland. Anyone have a favorite recipe for Orzo. Also any way to zip up a salmon cake? It had mayo, a little lemon zest, two teaspoons of dijon mustard, an egg and one baked potato in it. Maybe a tasty sauce. This is my first time cooking with salmon as usuallyI don't care for it, I did like it cooked this way. Thanks.

When I make salmon patties I just add some egg, bread crumbs, onion, salt, pepper and garlic powder. I fry them and then put syrup on them when I eat it.
