Posted: 10/29/2009 6:15:51 PM | Hi, Chet - I can tell you right now that the 'separated' tag is going to be a problem until it's formally changed to 'divorced'. Don't change it/lie in the meantime, though! You do explain it well in your profile, once they find you. The problem is when women do searches they often exclude 'separated', so you may be harder to find. I hope in the meantime you are writing to ladies you find interesting!
You'll need to crop your main photo so it's just your cute little face. More photos are always appreciated - women are visual, too!
At our age, women are looking for someone who has a stable job. "Musician" is fantastic so far as creativity and doing what you love. But - it comes with the stereotypes. Late night work? Always broke? Is there any way you could add a line or two about your work to answer a couple of these questions in advance?
Your headline feels a bit generic - you could have some fun with this if you like. Light humour is always good.
You may want to delete the whole line about being a jellyfish - it makes you sound like a sad little lost boneless squishy puppy. Not a romantic image. Why not expand on a couple of your other interests? Speaking of dogs.... do you have one? Want one? What kind? Your viewer may also have the same kind or want one. It's these little details that help them find things in common.

Posted: 10/29/2009 6:37:03 PM | How about 'dating' instead of 'long term', since you're separated, and it's less serial ltr-like. What outings would you enjoy sharing? Don't remember if you listed kids ages--could be helpful.
Smiling close-up swill help a lot.

3.) You have 4 live in kids.
4.) You don't have a conventional job.
Do you want a woman or a saint? You need to finalize that divorce, get some real pics, overhaul that profile to include more interests, and be patient. | |

Posted: 11/2/2009 3:29:32 PM | Thank you for your honesty.....The divorce will be finalized at the end of this week. I will then immediately update my profile. I am in the process of getting a few real pics of myself only. And, I have updated my profile to show some more interests.

Posted: 11/2/2009 5:36:44 PM | i will not be as hard as the last folks. first, you need to change that picture because we don't knw which one is "you." also, you need to take out the following.....wait till you get the woman's phone number or go on the date to fill her in on all the "stuff" that maybe a hinderance (divorce not final, you have more than one kid and do not want anymore kids).
