| Frequent Freeze Ups. Posted: 10/31/2009 4:20:44 AM | | Why the hell does my computer keep freezing up ? Ok I have Windows XP Pro as my OS. I know it's ancient and I also know I'm a dummy when it comes to technical terms and computer talk. I've looked online for discussions about this and I just don't understand the answers. (does not compute!) The technical terms and the familiarity with which the computer buffs chat to one another is a little intimidating. This is a long shot but maybe there's something I need to hear. Something staring me in the face. I feel like throwing it through the window sometimes. | |

| Frequent Freeze Ups. Posted: 10/31/2009 5:38:46 AM | Look I am going to be honest. I have built and serviced PC's for many years. The chances of a non computer savvy person solving this them self is almost nil. It could be any number of hardware or software issues. Your just not going to be able to follow basic troubleshooting advice. If you feel like throwing it out the window now... You will be punting it over the roof of your house trying to understand and follow the troubleshooting advice needed. This is not something a non computer savvy person should attempt at home via Internet advice. Your just not going to be able to see possible problems or follow the advice given. This could take months of you checking and following up as we explain over and over what to do and check.
Have a competent shop check it out.
