The funniest one I ever saw was from the US and it said "That guy above me is really married". It would be hilarious in the profile searches, but may not translate if someone is just looking at your profile alone... but it was funny.
The sunglasses in the main photo may get your picture deleted as it's not a 'clear' headshot. The picture of you in the kitchen made me look twice - I couldn't tell if your t-shirt was covered in fridge magnets too, and it made me laugh! Cool t-shirt, just don't stand next to the fridge next time... !
If I had a drink for every time you wrote "wee" in your profile I'd be legless by now. Get out the Thesaurus.
The biggest issue is the job. NEVER put 'unemployed' or 'none' or 'between jobs' or anything like that. Put in whatever it is you're trained to do or whatever field it is you normally work in and delete the stuff in the profile about not working. Hopefully by the time you get to a date you'll be employed. You never know if the person viewing you has a brother-in-law who owns a company who's looking to hire someone who does exactly what you do!
Also: alot should be a lot Im should be I'm Ive should be I've
unless the apostrophe key is broken on your keyboard, use it!!

| Looking for a profile review Posted: 11/1/2009 1:31:37 PM | | thanks very much for your advice. I know what you mean with the headline I did use humour in my headlines but I decided to change to the 1 if got now to see if it made much difference. Aw right the sunglasses there actually my normal glasses the just get darker in the light. I was wondering If people thought they were sunglasses lol. THats true about the job thing I wasnt sure what to put there. I cant do the sort of work I trained to do when I was younger because my eyesight has got worse since then so thats a bit of a problem but I do sometimes look after my wee 3 year old couisin when she's not at nursery but I didnt want to put down childminder. | |

Your type of girl--could be put in last paragraph. "Not taking yourself seriously"--I see this, along with goofy/dorky/clumsy/daft used often--all as if superlatives. I wish somebody could explain it, or zombies. Everybody does take themselves seriously, or you're saying--you're light-hearted, in effect. I'd try to put it in your own words, or you sound like one of the masses, and they might pick the other guy that said that, as its interchangeable. Pics--maybe 1 without the glasses? Best of luck.

| Looking for a profile review Posted: 11/8/2009 7:21:32 AM | | I get what you mean saying I dont take myself seriousley could be taken the wrong way but what I mean with it is that I can laugh at myself If I mess up in some way or I wont go in a big huff if someome points it out lol. I was thinking about putting the type of woman I was looking for but to be honest I havnt really got a particular type. I did have a couple of photos of myself with no glasses but I took them of because I wear my glasses all the time, I tried contacts but they can be a bit of a hassle putting them in and taking them out plus getting ones that fit my eyes right can be a bit of trial and error | |
