| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/1/2009 10:16:05 PM | | Did anyone else catch Ty Domi figure skating with a young lady tonight. I didn't see the whole show but Claude Lemieux ( + 2 others NHL er ) also traded in their hockey sticks for toe picks... Good on them !! That doesn't take guts...that takes B_lls. And then to stand there and take it while a panel of judges scored how well they did....priceless!! | |

| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/2/2009 12:11:39 AM | My dad told me once that when he was playing hockey as a kid, during the Depression, that he used to practice with his girlfriend of the time, who was into figure skating, because it improved his skating. The idea isn't new, but putting it on tv so everyone can laugh at them... my hat's off to the NHL boys who went through with it. | |

| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/2/2009 3:33:11 AM | yeah, Battle of the Blades has been on for 5 weeks.
i'm surprized Tie Domi has lasted as long as he can, but i think he and Christine will be voted off tonight - he just didn't have it together last night.
at this point, i think Jaime Sale and Craig Simpson are going to win.

| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/2/2009 3:51:33 AM | | I actually heard that many hockey players take figure skating lessons to improve their ice skills. Not so far off the target for them to participate in such an activity. | |

| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/3/2009 11:47:03 AM | Well, Loblaws was supposed to turn old maple leaf gardens into a superstore so it is good to see it going to some good use. They are raising money for charity with series, can't say I have sat through much but do laugh at how the hosts Ron McClean and whatshis name look kinda goofy. Good for a larf!!!!!!! | |

| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/15/2009 5:38:37 PM | anyone else watching the finale of this program?

| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/16/2009 7:18:03 AM | | My 14 year old son started in canskate, then started figure skating and then into hockey. He has always been the best skater on his team because of his years figure skating! | |
|
| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/16/2009 7:37:22 AM | | I love watching figure skating but refused to watch Battle of The Blades because Tie was on it. So NOT a fan of him given his past history of cheating and spousal abuse. He called himself a hockey player when all he did was pick fights with other players. That's not hockey, that's behaving like a spoiled child. | |

| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/16/2009 5:28:24 PM | Tie Domi had about 30 points in one season with the Leafs. That's more than what many of today's Leafs' players will acquire this season.
Tie Domi had FIVE (5) .. 20+ point seasons with the Leafs. His best season with Toronto was in 2002/03, when he had 15 goals and 29 points. In the 96/97 season, he had 11 goals and 28 points.

| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/18/2009 12:33:56 PM | | Domi was a meathead on and off the ice. Typical Toronto fans elevated him to a level he was undeserving of and it would never have happened in any other NHL city. | |

| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/19/2009 4:17:14 AM | if anyone didn't see the finale or hear the results - Jaime Sale and Craig Simpson won.
he was the only competitor who even attempted any jumps and the Austin Powers routine was the funniest thing i saw on the show!

Figure skating uses different muscles in different ways and certainly improves balance. If you can do more than the other guy you'll be better than he will be.
Let the laggers laugh as they are being outclassed on so many levels.

| I have seen every thing now... Posted: 11/23/2009 12:02:54 AM | That isn't even the worst of what you've seen.
Why has everyone forgiven this same Tie Domi who lied under oath at the MFP Inquiry by stating he walks around with $50,000 cash in his wallet for impromptu purchases of such things as jewelry yet could not produce a single receipt for said purchases? Why would anyone tune in to further line the pockets of this fringe professional hockey player who made his living by sucker punching honest to goodness real talented NHL players?

What are you talking about? Have you seen what hockey has become since Domi retired from the NHL? What about the crap that's happening now? Who are these so-called honest to goodness real talented NHL players? Please give me some names, and try to name more than one player ok? Looking forward to seeing answers.

Huh? How you read that the game has gotten better since that moron was forcibly retired is beyond me. What I was talking about was that knuckle dragging meathead that thought he was a hockey player, Tie Domi.
Please give me some names, and try to name more than one player ok?
While skating past Scott Neidermeyer in the playoffs against the New Jersey Devils he blindsided him with an elbow to the temple. Real class. The game was over, he went head hunting. Got himself kicked out of the playoffs. While skating beside Ulf Samuelsson, the five foot six and a half inch Dumi sucker punched him. The act of a coward.
If you think that even remotely passes for hockey then you need to get a life or subscribe to UFC on cable. Meanwhile Dumi can don his tutu and exhibit the real man he is now.
