Completely new to this site (about five or six days in I think) and have had a lukewarm start at best with a 10-20% response rate on first contact and most contact being broken off after a few emails.
However what seems to be worse is that, according to the stats at least (I know they don't take into consideration people who don't allow their posts to be tracked...), the grand total of four people have checked my profile out since its creation, which I would assume is low even for a male on this site?
Anyways if you wouldn't mind skimming over it and giving me some much needed feedback I'll be eternally grateful.

Your pictures need work. This is 80% of your profile if not more. Your main picture is just ok at best. You need to get one of your buddy’s and go outside in good lighting (which will be sometime in July for you UK’ers!) and get a great photo for your main picture. A nice smile like you have. I would lose all the rest of your pictures and replace them with GOOD ones.
Your profile text is VERY bland. You need to stand out from the other 18 million guys on here. What makes you different... Add some humor if you can pull that one off too. Girls love to laugh.
I think I would lose the part about loving the parties and drinking as we all know that’s what college kids do. That hasn’t changed since I was in school a 100 years ago.
I would go into more detail of what kind of girl you are looking for as you don’t say a whole lot there.
Also add more interests as they are searchable and how you are matched up with the ladies.
One last note, while your offer to the girls to drop an email to you is nice. Don’t hold your breath on this one. Most women want the man to be a man and contact them first. There are exceptions, but not the norm.

Yes when I first sent out a few emails and got them ignored I thought I'd done something majorly wrong but it turns out that that is not only a regular thing to happen but the thing that seems to happen in the vast majority of instances which is still a little strange to accept...
As for the pics, I've changed the main one to a bit of a better one (hopefully) but as for the others I'm still not sure what to do. Do I stay solely with the mugshots of me? Or me with (male) friends? Or could I get away with a picture of me with girls or is that a no-go area?
As for the profile I know it's rubbish. I can actually write quite well which is the really annoying thing except when it comes to writing about myself I just freeze up. As for the drinking stuff that's really in there because I thought any 18 - 20 year olds (which is essentially my entire demographic due to my age) might find it strange if I didn't put it in there? | |

I just commented a bit ago on another profile review that women can get anywhere from 10-50 (or even more) emails a DAY depending on their “hotness factor”. So most of the ladies are going to “read/delete” or my all time favorite, “unread/deleted” on the emails. If they spent one minute telling each person that emailed them that “I would rather shove hot needles under their fingernails than go out with the likes of you” messages it would be extremely time consuming!
You need to compose quality emails for sure and just be patient. You are very young and in college… if I were you (knowing what I know today at 51) I would be trolling your campus for the ladies vs. online.
You do need to work on your pictures when you can. They are just too fuzzy to see much. Fuzzy makes me look better… but you are a good looking kid. Take better ones! They are seriously most of your profile 80+% anyway. Girls really won’t give 2 $hits what you say. They want to know what you look like first!
And again, I get the party/drinking thing completely. That is what ALL college aged kids do. I think that you may be portraying yourself as a party hound and not all that serious about things. It’s just my impression.

I know what you mean about perhaps staying out of the whole online thing for now. Ironically enough the reason I tried it in the first place was because I was getting sick of getting into fights / arguments etc. with the one or two guys also trying to get into any given attractive girl on any given night out.
But 10 - 50 guys? A night? I don't favour those odds truth be told...
Still I'll stick around for a month or so and if it doesn't come good I'll call time on it.

That is legit on the emails too. The odds aren't stacked in our favor online mate.
