| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 1:50:52 PM | Bit of advice needed please... a really nice guy sent me a message a few days ago, we got chatting and had loads of stuff in common. All went quiet for a few days but he emailed this evening but... he got my name wrong!
If you were me how would you respond?
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 1:53:10 PM | Sounds to me like he found someone else to message in those quiet days, altho i have been hammered on here before for not giving people a chance and always thinking the worse of them, if it was me id block him and ignore him | |

| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 1:57:17 PM | Just goes to show how differant we all are.....I would give him the benifit of the doubt! I have an absolutely appalling memory and often forget all sorts of things so I would hope somone I hadnt spoken to for a few days would also give me the benifit of the doubt if I too had forgotten his name. After all a name is somtimes only mentioned the once in a convosation if atall.
It boils down to how much you liked him If you think you are the only lady he is talking to at any one time you are heading for a fall remind him who you are and tell him you dont expect him to forget again !
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 1:57:53 PM | My initial reaction was to do just that Gucci Girl!
However doubt is creeping in... what if was an honest mistake?

Bit like when they forget the town you live in, or as one did to me he emailed me and put his children's names in the email, and then changed their names a week later ..
Leave him too it , not worth the stress...

| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:01:26 PM | He made a mistake. It's likely that you are not the only woman with whom he is corresponding, he only forgot your name (he probably thinks of you by your POF name anyway).... you aren't actually married yet - and he didn't commit a crime!
Why on earth would you block him?!
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:08:52 PM | At my age I often forget my own name..And have sometimes forgotten others folks, or called them by someone else's name...Not to worry it happens to us all at one time or another..Now where am I ? | |
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:10:00 PM | I've realised that I am pretty crap at this, early days though and a girls got to learn somehow :D
So if I forget about the mistake, how do I respond?

| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:10:42 PM | Someone mailed me and called me by the wrong name
I didn't block him but I didn't reply to him either
It's not like my name is difficult to remember really
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:12:42 PM | Who cares, give him the benefit of the doubt, call him Dave in return (unless his name really is Dave, if it is block him!)
He has most probably been enjoying life in the real world.
Dont block him.
I want to be invited to the wedding... I like cake
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:15:51 PM | i honestly wish i was you p.w ... if this is your only problem in life giving you restless nights sleep im sure his not the only one your talking to either? as michael winner would say ... calm down dear, its just webchat.

|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:17:31 PM | Happens to me all the time, particularly in bed where they all want to call me "god" or "yes" and keep telling me they are in the process of arriving.
I always respond. | |

|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:20:15 PM | At last he used a name......the men who never use a name are to be avoided ...often a sign of 'multi-tasking' hehe | |
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:20:40 PM | NA DONT WORRY i was married 18 years and all he ever called me was oi. so i dont think a few mails should make u worry. So if it bothers you tell him. | |
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:22:50 PM | Just replied to his email! I didn't mention the minor mistake however did put my real name at the end of the reply. Lets see if he spots it.

| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:50:42 PM | Some people aren't as good as others at remembering names and I can't for the life of me imagine that I could ever get offended by that. Am I supposed to think someone I barely know has me indelibly etched on her brain and can't think of anything else? It's not something that's going to deter me from someone I've only recently met.
Of course, if things have progressed and you're screaming your ex's name while in the throes of orgasm, that might put me off my stride a bit, but apart from that, what's the big deal?
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 2:51:47 PM | He replied and apologised for the mistake :D
Thanks for all your posts!
Louise... I mean Lucy!!
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 3:24:23 PM | | A bit of a faux pas, but it wouldn't worry me unduly. He's on a dating site and is obviously messaging others and just slipped up. It's not as though you're dating yet, OP... | |
|
| He forgot my name!?! Posted: 11/2/2009 3:26:13 PM | Forward him the message w/a friendly note saying "This got into my inbox by mistake. Please send it to the rightful owner -- she's probably missing it!"
Then see if he offers an embarrassed apology.
