Posted: 11/2/2009 2:13:41 PM | The event is Nov 21/09 at the Queen City Pub (9th Ave N), Regina, Sask. Doors open at 8pm, with the evening ending at 2 am. Maximum capacity-150 people.
We would like the event to have an age range from 35-60 yrs old.
A dj will provide the music. If guests arrive before 9pm there is no charge for admission, after 9pm is a $5.00 cover charge (standard bar cover charge).
The evening will be a typical night at a nightclub...with the exception being all the people in attendance will be POF members and their invited guests, all ready to mingle!
Often each POF member invites a friend or two...so get their early as space is limited! Some Ice Breakers are part of the evening fun....trying to make it easier to mingle! See you there!

If you are coming into town from the north entering on Albert St you will turn left onto 9th Ave N and go down about four blocks, on your left you'll see a 7 11....Queen City Pub is located in that same strip mall..right before Broad St.

Posted: 11/8/2009 9:59:32 PM | | I'm coming from the south east so another way to get there from M.J. if you don't want to drive through the city, is the Ring Road all around the east side of the city, take the Albert Street turnoff (to right) then turn left going back into the city on Albert Street FIRST left is 9th and the bar is right there on the left a little ways past McDonalds. Hey all this help - everyone should find it. Good place to have this, easy to find, good food, casual. Thanks for setting this up! | |

BusyReginaLady and I had so much fun at the McNally's POF meet & greet... it was our "first" event... Hopefully a few more male POF'ers will be brave enough to actually show up!

We had great fun there but never had tas many attending as there was at the last meet, hope you get a good crowd, no one will be sorry I'm sure | |

Queen City Pub has a "belly up bar", dance floor, patio for the smokers and a DJ. We have asked the DJ to give us an assortment of music in an attempt to satisfy all musical hungers.
The entertainment....that's up to all of us POF'ers to make the evening enjoyable....so put your party pants on and join the fun!
We have planned a couple ice breaker activities....participation is optional of course. We won't share them here....but....it will assist you in approaching people. | |

Traditionally, men arrive alone...woman almost always bring a gal pal (or two). Remember back in the days of high school...we gals couldn't even go to the bathroom without our best gal pal! LMAO

I didnt think us from Saskatchewan let anything from Alberta get the upper hand on us? lol Sort of kidding ! but honestly it is the turnout that makes this event work for everybody , the more people there , the more friends you will make, from meeting poeple to hang out with , to friends to go to the big game , out for a night of dancing , to meeting that special one. Success of this evening is up to all that attend. | |

Posted: 11/15/2009 4:10:07 PM | If you had one in saskatoon and had the age group between 27 and 40 then we'd be cooking, plus before I drive 3hrs x2 to meet people I've already seen that are too shy to respond to a simple "Hi" in an email, I just don't see any of them opening up in person.. I dunno, Kinda seems like a long haul for nothing... Gonna have to pass... You guys have fun... Have one in stoon and I'm in, I'll bring tons of girl and guy friends alike.

I am in Ontario right now and should be back in Saskatchewan soon. I hope to be able to hit Regina in time to attend this get together. Its always nice to hang out and meet some new friends.
For those of you that are sitting back feeling a little shy about all this Id like to let you in a few things.
A few years back I got involved with the parties held in Ontario. When I first came on POF there were events that would draw maybe a dozen people. That just didn't seem to thrilling to me. So I got involved in promoting events. With a lot of hard work and others that saw the light our events grew to attendance well over 600 people. We would fill entire night clubs. Have weekend long camping events. Many of us would travel all over Ontario to party.
The people I got to meet and the close friends I made back then are still with me today. And I can tell you this. They count in the thousands. I guess what I am really trying to tell you is get out and get involved. Take a chance, and even should you not meet the one you have dreamed of for so long. You just might meet some of the best friends you will ever know. | |
