I'm new to this online method and unsure how much information is too much to reveal in a profile. If you would please take a look an advise me on that I'd very much appreciate it.

Also, is my 'slow approach' intent clear or confusing? Do you think it is better to keep a profile hidden when only perusing the forums? Or doesn't it matter?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi there,

I have to say, I'm not a fan of 'here are some quotes I like'. I've seen a few people do this and I just don't understand it. You didn't write those things and half of the time they're ones that turn up on several people's profiles so they're not unique either. They don't tell me anything about you except that you're the sort of person who likes inspirational quotes.

Describing your dress sense - feels odd to me. I don't know if men care about this sort of thing, and my gut instinct would be no.

'My age is accurately posted' - implies you think you look younger/older than you are? I'm unsure why you felt the need to write this. I've not come across people lying about their ages but since you took the trouble to write that you didn't, it makes me more suspicious as to why you felt the need to write it at all.

I'd like to see more about what you enjoy doing with your time, perhaps more of an expansion on the things listed in your interests section. Otherwise, you do have a clear personality coming through and you do have some good material here.

Good luck :)

Great feedback. I'll nix the quotes.

The 'age is accurate' stems from what I've read in the 45+ forums so far. It seems many men in my age bracket are so used to women lying about their age that they've taken to adding a few years onto what a woman posts. No, I truly don't think I look anything but my actual age. But I guess I will nix that, too if it can make people think I have a problem with my age.

Much appreciated Housekitten86 :)

Oh, and about the dress sense - all my photos are casual and I'd like to make it clear that I am the feminine sort as well as outdoorsy. I'll try to reword this and expand on my interests.

Overall not a bad profile...the pictures are the first thing that men look at. You are very attractive...but certain photos need to be improved.

Disclaimer: I am not an expert on creating profiles nor is mine perfect, someone once helped me so I am here to do the same.

My thoughts:

Pic #3 needs to go, it does not show your face. It does tell a certain story about you and your travels but it doesn't give an outsider a clear image of your face under different circumstances.

Pic #4 needs to go, it looks like you are mad at someone. Not a face that a guy wants to see, especially if he did something wrong.

Pic #7 also needs to go, for the same reasons for #3.

I hope this helps!!!

Thanks for your kind comment and the chuckle regarding #4, engy583, I'm glad to have a male's viewpoint on it and you're help is much appreciated.

You look much younger than your age which is great, you are active and prefer a life with more substance than the city has to offer.

All in all it's a great profile, short and to the point.

As written when I'm seeing it, looks real good to me. I get a sense of the kinds of activities you like, your personality, and the kind of person you're looking to find.

Yours is the first profile I've seen on any dating site of a woman who rides a mountain bike. Bonus points.
