I thought I have followed most of the best suggestions for a profile. Please let me know what I have been doing wrong.
I put in interests, didn't use "prefer not to say", talked about music tastes. I have been positive in my wording.
Do items like "separated", "have kids", and "don't want kids" make me too scarry?
I do send messages often, and I'm always polite in my messaging. I fail to get any responses for anything.
Rip in to it please. Honest truth is the best.

Separated = The Kiss of Death. You should state somewhere without going into massive detail that your divorce will be over by X time. Many people look at separated as meaning you might possibly hook back up with the estranged wife/husband.
Congrats on your weight loss… but I don’t think I would advertise the fact that 11 months ago you were a whale. And FYI 273 at 6’3” is heavy, but not whale status. 190 at 6’3” is a freakin bean pole. You should think about moving up to a toned 220 or so IMO. Course, my opinion really doesn’t count either.
Seriously, I think I would kill all of that information. Rephrase all your “I” sentences so you are screaming it’s all about ME!!
Women who are online are looking for dating, not hanging out. They hang out with their girlfriends, why would they want to hang with you too? Friends are good… if you want to be stuffed into the Friend’s Box. Just stick with dating.
As I just stated, women are looking for dating and not being a step-mommy to your brats. Yeah, even the best of us have them. Even me! And my kids hate me for some dumb reason. You want to talk about YOU mister! Leave the kid crap out of your profile and talk about them when some woman DOES email at some point in this millennium.
If you have recently gotten into photography, why don’t you spend a few minutes and figure out how to use the timer on your camera and get some QUALITY pictures of yourself. That main picture sucks and that is the one that the woman will click on… or in your case pass you by. Well unless she wants to date your truck. And leave your brats out of your pictures too ok? Listen, just go look at my pictures and do NOT do what I did. You will be fine. Till you get new ones.. that are GOOD, use the 3rd on as your main picture. That middle one? You look pissed at the world, maybe at the woman looking at your profile. Who knows.
Car/truck/boat/motorcycle pictures are gay at best. Most women don’t want to see your toys. Well, unless you drive a Ferrari. Hell, I would probably want to date you then!
Photoshop (which should be capitalized) - If I send you some of my pictures can you make me good looking and put hair on top of my head please? I could use em both.
You need to talk about what kind of woman you are looking for. You say nothing in your profile at all about HER. Remember, it ain’t all about YOU!!
I like your “Send a note and meet a great friend today.” But! Most women will not make that first contact move. Be the man and do your job. Women, depending on their hotness factor, will get 10-50 or more emails A DAY. If you want to have ANY chance of getting a response you have to stand out from the other 49 emails they get. Read their profile, comment on something that caught your eye in her TEXT portion of the profile… not her boobs. That one just doesn’t work. Trust me, I have tried it.

Head games and playing are way to high school. Trustworthiness, caring and supportive are things everyone needs. I prefer the latter don't you? - Delete. It's obvious.
I see a lot of ladies want men who have their life in order. - Delete. Obvious.
I have goals to travel and see the world. Europe and Asia particularly. - What do you do when you travel? Do you lay on the beach, meet the local people, go to museums, sightsee, take pictures? Give us an idea what it would be like traveling with you.
If I cast a hook in your direction please have a nibble and see whats up. - Delete. Makes you seem desperate.
Better pictures coming soon I promise. - Don't say it. Do it!
Tell us how many children you have and their ages. Do they live with you?
Tell us about the woman you'd like to meet. Are you looking for a Mom for your kids or a working woman? Give us some idea. | |
