be as brutal as you wish with mebut make sure you put reasons to your criticism :)

Posted: 11/3/2009 3:03:02 PM | Your pictures are not good man. You need to have a good quality one for your main picture. They will be 80% of your profile. And make the girl click on your pic.. or pass you by. They look like they were all take the same night at the pub too. No they were, unless you only have one shirt to your name.
You smoke often, so this is going to limit the women that will be interested in you.
While you didn’t do the wall of text that many do, you went 180 degrees opposite and say zero about yourself. You hardly stand out... Here's what I saw when I read it.
You love to go out, drink heavily while chain smoking, drink some more with the lads, hit the dance floor (note that this is two words) in a drunken stupor and dance the night away, probably followed by another 1/2 pack of cigs to end the evening.
Define “typical mainstream” for the old guys… or for that matter your dream date.
I’m has that little apostrophe thing going on between the two letters. If your looking is if you’re looking. Yup that little dash-marky-thing again. Whoops, you’ve has one too.
If you type your text in a word processor it will actually TELL you when you F-up. Try it out when you rewrite your profile. They are pretty amazing.
Lastly, I doubt the hotties are going to contact you first. You are going to have to learn to be the man and take the lead on things.

Posted: 11/3/2009 3:36:59 PM | Well you have most definitely been brutally honest, some of this i will take away and do something about but i think the sarcasm towards apostrophes was a little OTT, and the sentence about smoking and the impression it gives. I guess i will follow the typical 'dating scene' with this and lie. :)
You've also assumed that the only reason im signed up is to have hundreds of hotties come flocking at my feet when in actual fact im just looking for a nice girl to talk to and see where it goes from there.
typical mainstream is basicly the overplayed top of the charts music, the things that are played 40 times a day on different channels and radios until they are listened to so many times they are boring.
Overall i can see some of your points but i think if you had made your post a little more constructive rather than the words from a bitter person (your own opinion) then i might of got more use of it.
However i have added a little bit more to my profile from what you have said. | |

Posted: 11/3/2009 4:01:30 PM | Sorry if you thought my review was sarcastic… no wait, I’m not! That’s the way I do them buddy. I used to be a lot worse so you are lucky you got the new and improved me.
I was giving you my thoughts on your profile. Feel free to use or ignore them. Simple punctuation is a sign that you paid attention in grade 4. I didn’t…. and that’s why I use a word processor while typing.
In regards to my assumption with the hotties… that is what I perceived from YOUR words. And yup – perception is reality. At least my reality.
If you can get through my sarcasm, there are some pretty legit pointers I made. It’s up to you to take them however you wish.

I guess if you meet someone, it won't be hard to smoke during the first date. But what if you start seeing this person? They think you don't smoke.
It's pretty drastic and stupid to go from "often" to "no". I know there's an "occasionally" and I think there might also be a "sometimes". You shouldn't flat out lie. | |

Posted: 11/3/2009 10:27:58 PM | So I read the profile with two minds. One as a female, and again as a guy. I couldn't feel a difference. Are you looking for a mate to hang out with, or a babe to make out with? The way it's written now is really heavy on the testosterone.
I did, however, get a kick out of the 'embarassing moments' line.
A female viewer is going to want to know how she will fit into your life. If you spend all day working and your spare time drinking with your guy friends, what will she be doing? Perhaps you could add a line about what you might like to do as a partner - road trips to nowhere? movie night in with a big bowl of popcorn, a blanket, and a giant bottle of wine?
Is there something you'd like to try or some place you'd really like to visit? Mention it. Your viewer may also want to try the same thing or visit the same place and you'll have one more thing in common. Sports doesn't count - the only reason women watch sports is so they can watch the guys' butts. Seriously, don't kid yourself.
The punctuation is important if you're looking to attract a relatively smart girl. The text language should be saved for actual texting, it's just lazy here. You can take all the time you want to make a decent profile - make it look like you made the effort. | |
