Anyone willing to admit to wanting to see this new movie? I kinda like Jim Carrey and apparently, he's doing quite a few roles in this animated version of the classic. Could go in the middle of the afternoon as a guilty pleasure, but its so much more fun if there's kindred spirits. Think it could be an event thread? It opens on Nov 6.

I still haven't seen a better acted version of that book since the one starring Alistair Simms.

I doubt Jim Carrey can match that man's acting.

This is quite true and if they showed it on big screen, I'd be there in a minute. But given that's not likely, I'd still like to catch this one. If I'm in a theatre, eating popcorn, how much trouble can I get into....skookum....any comment on that?

Were you planning on going this weekend?

I wouldn't mind going to a theatre to see a movie (novel idea), but as I am a health mess right now, I don't think it is in the best interest of the public for me to be out.

An evening next week or the following would work for me.

Soory, but I am not even slightly interested in this movie. It isn't even Jim Carrey on the screen. It is a total CGI movie with his voice. Don't get me wrong, he is a great actor though. I have just seen this story so many times. How many times has it been remade? Anyhow, none of these even touch Scrooged. Bill Murry is one of the funniest guys ever.

The movie got slated this morning on the radio - apparently it's not quite the story we are used to - Tiny Tim only appears 3 times (or so they were saying this morning).

Still wanna go ..... if anyone wants to join me, suggest a date (payday is best) and we'll meet at Chinook (the only IMAX theatre I know of).
