| A Bat Story: Good way to end Halloween! Posted: 11/5/2009 5:19:24 AM | | I moved into a six bedroom, 2 kitchen, 2 bath, 2 living room house, on the edge of campus at age 20. A typical, slightly run down college house. One night we were sitting around with friends relaxing in the living room when a bat joined us. He wasn't a happy bat, as he was flying eratically and was everywhere boucing off the walls, like a pinball out of control. One of the guys...thank you Chip.... picked up a tennis racquet and took him on, finally killing the crazy bat with a solid swipe. It tested positive for rabies. As did the family that lived in the closet of bedroom #3....on the main floor. They took six rabid bats out of our college home away from home. No wonder my parents worried... | |
