| Would like a profile rewiew. Posted: 11/3/2009 9:31:33 PM | Hi all! I'd like my profile reviewed if you wouldn't mind! Looking for women of all ages to comment; though I'm looking for women 20-25.
Here's my current text:
I'm on this site because where I'm at it's very difficult to meet new girls and as a matter of policy I won't date the ones I work/go to school with.
Here's the basics: I'm looking to find someone to hang out and have fun with and see what develops. I am a lot of fun to be around - I'm outgoing, adventuresome, fliratious, talkative, humorous (at least I'd like to think so!) respectful, honest and I listen well too. I am in the process of becoming a military aviator and finishing up a B.S. in Economics. After the military, I'd like to get into Economics, but I'm not sure if I want to work with finance (like Wall Street investment banking) or if I want to do policy making on a state or federal level like the Department of the Treasury, the Federal Reserve, or something like that.
Despite originally being from New York, I do actually like country music as well as classic rock. I am open to most musical genres - I've always been a fan of Third Eye Blind and have also gotten into John Mayer and Rob Thomas a lot lately. I enjoy comedy, baseball (Yankees... of course), working out, most outdoor activities, cooking and am generally pretty open to new experiences. I am fit and work out regularly. While I might seem kind of dry here, I'm keeping it simple for now - but I am a very optimistic person with a good attitude and a great sense of humor (I think my date idea below is pretty humorous). I love making people smile. I take on a work hard play hard attitude but I can certainly appreciate just relaxing and hanging out as well. I consider myself gentlemanly and romantic and a lot of fun to be around.
I have one brother and my parents are just awesome.
I'd love to hear from you if you're interested in knowing more!
That was a lot of "I" "I'm" and "I'd" - so now it's your turn, I want to hear more about you!
As a note: If you smoke, I'm not interested. Sorry, but that's a definite deal-breaker for me.

I do have a bit of career advice, if you want a high level job with Treasury or the Fed, go all the way and get that PH D in Economics. Same goes for the big jobs on Wall Street. I'm a finance and accounting graduate with a minor in economics (BS-Florida State) and spent some time working for the Feds. Just my personal preference but will take the Feds any day over Wall Street, more money on Wall Street but I still liked working for the Feds. There are some good profile review people here and hopefully one will jump in with their expertise.

| Would like a profile rewiew. Posted: 11/3/2009 9:55:02 PM | First line has to go. You send the message that you failed at meeting women in "the real world" and are resorting to dating online as a last ditch effort not to be alone. Living in Maryland, it's doubly so - that whole Mason-Dixon line region is congested with cities(towns) unlike any other part of the country, and cities(towns) are full of single women.
<div class="quote"> I am a lot of fun to be around - I'm outgoing, adventuresome, fliratious, talkative, humorous (at least I'd like to think so!) respectful, honest and I listen well too Either get rid of it or elaborate on it. Aside from the internet nerds (there's fewer of us than you think on here!), you describe every single guy that's on here looking for a date. Describe some outgoing behaviors. Show a small piece of your humor(you say it twice, so it better be good!).
The uniform pic looks good, but my personal preference is that if you aren't going to wear sunglasses on your first date, you shouldn't wear them as your main profile picture.

| Update Posted: 11/4/2009 7:49:12 AM | Thanks for the responses so far guys... here's my edited version - I've also added my date idea which is meant to show that I am humorous; and I'd definitely do it in real life too - I've gotten mostly positive response about it actually.
Here's the basics: I'm looking to find someone to hang out and have fun with and see what develops. I am a lot of fun to be around - I'm outgoing, adventuresome, fliratious, talkative, humorous (at least I'd like to think so - check out my date ideas!) respectful, honest and I listen well too. AND MY DATE IDEA IS BELOW:
I'm a fan of going to places where you can talk and get to know the person on a first date and I like being adventuresome. I enjoy most outdoor activities like hiking or kayaking and I like cooking for a woman as well. Ice skating might be fun... I'm pretty easy going so I can also just do something like meet for lunch or dinner and drinks as well.
Ok and I don't expect this to be a first date by any means, or for it to happen at all for that matter, but this seems funny to me: If you're feeling crazy and willing to laugh a lot, I've recently thought this would be a hilarious date - go to a city, say D.C., and do a double decker tour or one of those "Duck Tours" and act like the most annoying tourists ever. I'm talking I'll wear a hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts that are just a little too short, socks with boat shoes; you should wear one of those obnoxious women's shirts from the early 90s with shoulder pads in them with stirrup tights and a fanny pack. We'll use a camera at an annoyingly high rate and call each other ridiculous names like "schnuggums" and "hunny bunny." Over the top? Yes. But that's what makes it hilarious. Then we could change somewhere and have a more... traditional, for lack of a better word, date.

| Update Posted: 11/4/2009 1:03:38 PM | | You seriously need to change your main pic. POF is squishing it so it is square--which is not flattering to you. It might be a great pic, but you might want to crop it. | |
