My question is why?

I have looked at a lot of profiles on here..guys profiles I mean...and so many of them are looking for longterm or more and so many want kids and I dont see the point in any of it myself? Why do all these men want longterm, other than friendship, and why do they all want kids? Is that a way to atract women to them or is it for real? I can't understand it if the desire is for real. There are so many broken relationships and so many people in the world, so why? Lins

Why does a mannequin care about long term or anything else real?

Why? Because they have the right to want what they want.
Now need some w-d 40 for those elbows?

If you look at the comments on "kids" it is usually the older guys 40 plus who want them or are undecided and these guys are looking for women at least 10 years younger than themselves. Call it nothing more than a mid-life crisis.................. and guess who would be left holding the baby? You got it!

Ohh..dear god...is that a picture of a wax figure...i never saw hair color quite so odd....amazing what they can do with plastics these days.... Anyway....Your question...ask the man you are curious about....because most of the women on this site...i am pretty sure...have not perfected their mindreading skills fully...to unleash them in the forum....

i'm guessing that at your age, this is the only age range you're looking at, so you wouldn't exactly have a complete perspective on prospective fathers. incomplete samples yield worthless conclusions.

Ehhh... Having kids... It's one way to get inside a woman's pants... I mean would you respond to a profile that only told the truth -- "I'm fat/old with bad breath, ugly hair, and have the personality of a slug that only wants to get laid?" "Long-term" is 'nother codeword for FWB, so they don't have to go trolling for it when the itch arises because some men lack any kind of social skills, so when they land a willing victim, they stick with her.

"long term" with anybody on POF...I dont think so..."Friends" is the only way to go so you can graciously exit at the coffee meet when she shows up 100 pounds overweight...

My advice is NEVER believe what a guy says.....believe in what he does for you and how he treats you (especially when you might not be feeling well)! Actions speak louder than words! A lot of guys will say what girls want to hear and lie just to get a laid! Beware of them and trust your intuition. Instincts never lie they protect you!

Sounds like I missed a real doll.
I'm stiff with envy.

OP, I've found that many of the POF labels are too narrow to be completely accurate.
Many of the men I've dated state more flexible life options in person than their profiles imply.

Why wouldn't they want kids? People say what they want when they feel it is what will attract the most attention, like shirtless pics or of them with God knows how many women in the photo with them.
