POF is my first time dealing with online dating etc.. I have only been here a little over week and though I have had a lot of views, I have only recieved a couple emails. I know my profile has lots room for improvement, but the one only person I have emailed , actually emailed me back (no doubt has read my profile) and we have been talking for a fews days now, so I must be on the right track... but I feel It could be a lot better none the less.
Anywho I am aware that only one picture isn't great, and its not the best one at that, but it's all I have right now, and its better then no picture at all.

First off, housekeeping. Send it through a spell check. Most things are good, but a few minor errors to be fixed (we notice--believe me!) Also, the majority of your sentences begin with "I". It sounds a bit conceited and not very interesting. Try to spice it up a bit.
Secondly, your 1st paragraph is bad and makes you sound unsure of yourself. IMO, it is completely unnecessary.
You mention a number of times that you like being active. You don't need to say it so many times (and just re-wording it doesn't help!)
Your sentence, "I am a very nice, loyal," etc. sentence: we've heard it all before and we don't believe it any more. I just roll my eyes when I read stuff like that 'cause that's what all guys say. Either reword it to make it funny in some way or take it out.
You suggest for them to contact you, if they want. That's a given. That's why we're here. That part is unnecessary.
So, now that I've suggested removing chunks of your profile, you have room to squeeze in your personality. We see the facts of you, now let us know why you are special, why we would want to date you. Let us know not only by what you say but by how you say it.
You're in a sea with thousands of other fishies fighting for the same girl fishies. You need to up your game so you have a better shot at it!

Posted: 11/5/2009 11:28:33 PM | You've got a line in there about not giving your life story so you can save something for the first meeting. There will be difficulty getting to that stage (your current situation notwithstanding - good luck, by the way) if you don't give enough information for your viewer to determine if you have anything in common. A cute little face is a nice place to start - you know you need more photos and at least one with a big, cheesy smile.
You need to go back into profile/edit and add at least 6-8 Interests in that field. Make them specific. (ie: instead of "sports", put Hockey, Basketball or whatever, and instead of "music", put Opera, Jazz, Hip Hop, or whatever.)
Take out the age restriction and photo requirement for your email settings. Many girls here have no photos for a variety of legit reasons, but have private images to share once you start emailing. | |

Would like some feed back / suggestions on my new profile. I would like to be successful on POF so please help! Who knows, I'll probably end up just hanging out in the forums, like I have been already.
I know how important spelling and grammer are, so if there is mistakes all I have to say is death to microsoft word!! lol.
